4pokes are almost as easy to work on like 2pokes,just use common sense and a lot of reading,get the service repair manual and then dig into it. i bought yfz450r almost a year ago and on the first ride crankshaft main bearing snapped and stuffed everything up,crankshaft,piston,cases,cylinder. I fixed it myself all tho it was long and painful repair but hey now i can say i know how to fix this shit

and yeah,u can pour new fuel over if u can't get it all out

drain the fuel out of carbs,lift it on car jack stands(one on the front and one at rear),deflate tires and plug intake and exhaust with cloth so moisture doesn't get in

Bought a banshee a year ago and never had any problems with it,till last ride. Went for a ride 3 days ago and after 20 mins of riding i stopped to swap with my brother for bikes and when he tried to start it at first kick it back fired and at second it started running! The same thing happened few times that day,not every time i started it but maybe every second or third time. Bought fuel the same day,spark plugs look fine,and it back fires only at first kick. I don't have a clue what could be the cause,don't know where to start...dirty carbs,old reed valves,bad fuel...

guys u know shit!!! the best way to remove fuel smell is to wash god damn pipes with plenty of beer(don't forget to drink some) :banana: :banana:

OK,just read about o-ring chains on Wikipedia and washing it in diesel fuel is BIG NO,NO. Don't do it because you will wash out factory grease from it and also diesel can dissolve rubber O-rings and by doing that it can shorten your chain life drastically. I first wipe with clean oily cloth,than just with clean cloth and after it i spray chain wax,but that's because i ride only in sand so there is no mud to get chain dirty,its mostly just dust.

diesel is the best way to clean it but lube it after cleaning because now days diesel isn't as greasy as it was 20 years ago. and the best way to check is it O-ring or non O-ring chain is to clean it and than you will see. if you don't know how it should look than just google it.
