  1. 92 mph on a quad 155+ in a car 140+ mph on a motorcycle
  2. 61.8 mph on a GPS (Garmin 295) on flat pavement. Bike was bone stock.
  3. I put a barnett dirt digger in mine over year and half ago with the port and it has never slipped on me. I have all 6 springs in it though. I put on a MSR raptor perch and is much easier to pull than the stocker was with the stock clutch. I only use two fingers a lot of the time. Make sure you change your tranny fluid regularly also!
  4. What the f*ck does autobody work have anything to do with porting 2 stroke engines???? That is like saying a painter can do heart surgery. Your dad is an idiot and doesn't know what he is talking about. He will f*ck your cylinders up if he does them. Save your money and send them out to get them ported correctly or you won't be riding your shee for a long ass time and will cost you more money in the long run if he tries to port them himself. Port work doesn't cost 600-1000 dollars. You can get it much cheaper than that by reputable builders. It is cheap enough to not even think about taking a risk to try to port them on your own. If you can't afford 200-300 bucks to port them, then save your money for gas to ride it like it is. How does he make cars anyways
  5. I'm looking for a key switch that will fit a 96 shee. I don't need the cover. Just need the switch with a key. I want one in really good condition with the plug still attached. Send me a message if you have one. Would prefer to pay through paypal.
  6. 100LL Avgas has a shitload of lead in it! I believe it has more than old leaded car gas! Also 100LL is actually 110 octane at the pump. The 100 octane rating is at a very lean condition, and this is how it is rated. 100LL avgas is also rated at 120 octane at a very rich condition. They conduct these tests to see how resistant avgas is at different altitudes, mixture settings, and temperatures since they change quite a bit with altitude.
  7. His hot trail port kicks ass Mine felt like a whole new bike and I'm still on stock carbs and intakes
  8. Guy I know has looked everywhere and needs an axle for his moto 4, 200 cc yamaha quad. The splines on his are jacked I figured maybe somebody may have one laying around. PM if you have one.
  9. There's a lever up there for a reason!
  10. Cases are matched from the factory. You will have to have both the upper and lower so that they will match up perfectly! You can find pairs of them at pretty decent prices.
  11. 350 is not unbelievable for your setup. I currently run a 340 with fatties and my trail port. I'm also on the stock reed cages, just TDR reeds. Go up on your pilot if it is hard to start. I went from a 25 to a 32.5 on the pilot after porting. You will just have to do a plug chop on the mains to be sure though. I had trouble getting mine started also before I jumped up on the pilot. Starts 1st to 2nd kick now.
  12. Tapping on the studs won't hurt anything as long as you are patient and somewhat gentle. Just don't waylay that mother Just make sure you put the nuts back on the studs before tapping on them so you don't damage the threads. Also make sure you have all the bolts out of the cases! It is easy to miss one if you have never split the cases before, and especially if the cases are not perfectly clean. There are quite a few that hold it together.
  13. Flip the cases on their side and put the nuts back on the studs and tap them with a hammer. You might want to put a piece of wood on top of the nuts also to make sure you don't mushroom the studs. Also make sure that everything doesn't fall out of there Just tap it to break the seal and then flip it back over and pull them apart.
  14. You could go a few teeth bigger on the back sprocket and then go back to the 14 on the front.
  15. Half links suck from what I've seen. I hit a jump and split it right in half! Most of the people I've talked to also have trouble from them for some reason. I would try a different sprocket. I tried to put on a different brand of rear sprocket but had the same number of teeth and the chain tension was okay on one, but with the other it was too tight!
  16. Sounds similar to my problem. I looked the wiring harness over really good yesterday so I'm thinking it is a problem in the CDI as you mentioned. Everything else has been ruled out of the equation!
  17. My buddy has a 2003 CR250 Honda dirtbike. We are about dead even in a race and even on top end. He is also a good rider. But my shee isn't stock either.
  18. How much do you want for the key switch?
  19. Thanks blacksmith! Alright D! So whats been going on lately?? Do you still have your trail bike?
  20. A few months ago my key switch quit working. I could turn the switch on or off and the shee would still run either way. I just left it this way and rode it a few times. Rode it a couple of days ago and it wouldn't hit a lick. This was right in the middle of riding it. I just shut it off for a few minutes and tried to start it back and it wouldn't even attempt to start. 20+kicks. My buddy gave me a push start with his bike and it didn't even roll 2 feet and started up. Turned it off and wouldn't start with me kicking it but started right back up with a push from the other quad. Got done riding it later on and turned it off and it wouldn't start back up by kicking it. Last night I got back on it and tried to start it again, 10+ kicks and nothing. Got back on it tonight and fired up on the 2nd kick. It will start everytime tonight on the 1st or 2nd kick like it usually does. It did almost the exact thing a few months ago. I just cut the the wires off at the switch. There are 2 black wires and a red and brown wire. I will put another switch on the shee soon, but what wires do I need to spice together out of the four to make it run. Right now it will run with all four wires not touching anything. But should it run this way?? Also is the mounting bolt for the voltage regulator the only ground on the shee frame??
  21. Like banchetta said, stock pilots and needle position. Adjust the air screws and a 240-250 main should be pretty close. I ran a 240 main with the airbox lid off with a foam pro design filter in warm weather, around 80 degrees. Just remember air temp can make a difference. It can change the size of the mains a few sizes either way. I would save up and get a cheap set of pipes for now and jet for them with the filter and lid off. I couldn't tell a whole lot of difference with the lid off. But pipes were huge when I first started modding! That way you will only have to dial it in once.
  22. I live here in the bootheel and when I just had fmf fatty's, pro-flow uni filter and no lid I would run a 270 when it was really hot outside (90-100 degrees) and would jump up to a 280 when it cooled back down. I also stuck with the stock pilot jets. I tried bigger ones but it made it way too rich on bottom. Stock position on the needle was also the best for me! I doubt there will be much difference from the SST's to the fatty's. I would start with a 300 and work my way down. I would probably say you will end up around a 290 right now in this weather and probably a 280 when it starts to warm back up. But I would start with a 300 and stock pilots first and do a plug check.
  23. That was f'in funny!!! I think she had the weight advantage though
  24. 1. No 2. That would be determined by the builder and how much power you are looking for. 3. Patriot Racing did my trail port and it was very reasonable on the pricing. He did an awesome job and the bike hauls ass and is much more rideable than before. There were quite a few people that were surprised at the power I was making with stock carbs and stock reed cages. 4. I personally wouldn't trust ebay that much for porting. You need to contact the builder and ask him questions before just buying the porting. Also do you want to do all that work of taking it apart and having a crappy job done??? I didn't so I chose a reputable builder. Dan at Patriot Racing also welded my crank and redomed my stock head while he was porting my cylinders. No regrets what so ever. Just have to be somewhat patient with him since he is very busy and does a lot of work. This is a sign that he is a good builder as most of them stay very busy porting. There are other great porters out there. Just wanted to give you my opinion on what experiences I've had.
  25. Since you are giving away 100 dollar bills, I'll take one You have no chance in hell of winning that race. You could beat him to 40-50 mph if he is a shitty rider, but after that it will look like starship enterprise just passed yo ass!
