  1. Old heads were one piece just like a stock head. i ran one on a 74.5 bore. Then the went to removable. now they have the dm style.
  2. Awesome link. thanks starwriter.
  3. Didnt someone on hear find a vendor for the connectors and pins? sure would be nice to be able to just make your own from scratch.
  4. What about rk tech? what domes did they use?
  5. Humidity and temp are important as well as elevation. probably to rich on the needle. should be around 53mm. what cut is it pe1 or pe7?
  6. Old intake boots only worked to a 40-41mm carb. i got some boots for a 44 with the same spacing but they are bigger on dont seal. I really would like to get just the aluminum part if it would work.

Stock tubing is real close to .065wall if i remember right. i use .065dom 1" main rails 7/8 supports 3/4 subframe. for a full chromo you could go .058 1" main rails 3/4 .058 supports and 5/8 .049 subframe. If i remember it correctly the strentghs were close and chromo was like 5lbs less and 2times the cost for materials. it has been a while since i spec'ed it out but im pretty sure im close.

    frame

i was just stating material weights are equal. not by any means recomending a .035 wall. smallest ive heard of is 7/8 .049 main frame but it doesnt hold up long. i heard lonestar is strictly .065 wall now.

Hybrid or full frame? intended surface and rules? single arm setups are custom made to the chassis from site sponsors or you can get lonestar parts for a xulw frame. the shaws you can get from any shaw dealer. You are aware or the requirements for welding chromo. and you are aware dom and chromo of the same sizes have the same weight and near the same strength with less cost and easier workability
  10. Going on ebay if not sold by friday.
  11. Is the bolt spacing for the boot bolts the same as your earlier cheetah intakes?
  12. After laborday sale 350 shipped 48s states only
  13. Wasnt the door actuator also an issue on these trucks? they run a hot heater core full time and blend the air according to temp knob position. thought i read somewhere that the doors break or motors strip out causing the hot air to leak past. Any one have a fix for the noisey a/c clutch engaugement? mine is horrible at idle.
  14. They are exchange so you would need a core or add that cost in
  15. 2500 wont get you anywhere at a buildet when you said you only have a frame and swing arm. be real with yourself or this wil never happen. you need to buy a complete engine here or ebay. plan on spending 2-3 times that to build a nice one. avg cost for a drag build is 5-7k starting from nothing and doing as much yourself as possible
  16. Gas or alky?
  17. Whoever welded the bolts on for rear pipe hanger should be shot. Show a close up pig in that area.
  18. I ran atf a long time ago. i saw accellerated trans wear and will never ruun it again. run only motercycle trans oil now. trannies and clutches are holding up great. if you run cheaper atf but change it all the time is it really cheaper? i have torn down countless transmissions run on atf and they all have gear to shaft wear and clutching teeth wear that a trans run on gear oil wont have. just my 02¢
  19. Also they appear to be right side. somebody needs a new helper
  20. Monday bump.
  21. Ive got a cover. ugly as hell but functional for 75 shipped. pm for pics
  22. Left side coned not stamped bb/sf chrome cpi pipes. mount tabs have no cracks. rubber mounts between the pipes. one pipe has had crack repair. its on the underside of pipes and not seen when installed. but repair job looks fine. not a bunch of bird shit like other repairs ive seen. also have normal dent from touching the frame once in a while. chrome is in good shape. overall 8 out of 10. looking for 400 shipped might do a little less if your on the west coast.
  23. The real ? is how does it run. looks like shit but very different. sometimes different is good, but i dont think this is that time.
  24. Tim will know based on what you want to do. He will need some measurements from you though like piston, rod, stroke, cyl height, deck height. then he can cut what ever you want. if you degree it before tear down you can adjust timing if needed with the base gasket. i have a head shell id sell if interested lmk.
