When you go up a tooth on the front you get more top speed, but itll take more power to turn the bigger sprocket so youll loose some acceleration. As for mods. If your on a budget, id do pipes, reeds, and air filter, run without the airbox lid, thats a difference itsself. But youll have to rejet it because youll have more air. Youll need more fuel to mix with more air. If your running pump gas, run like 93 or more octane. Run a good quality oil and check your plugs when you begin modding. Make sure you start out rich and lean it out slowly. Good luck with your banshee. There are unlimited mods for it!

For my motor: dune port hjr, wiseco pro lite(is there any better?), trinity cool head, 20cc domes, 28mm carbs, pods, +4 timing, lightened flywheel, vf3's, reed spacers.

On all my bikes and quads i run pro circuit, but im starting to see names ive never seen until i joined bansheehq, like cpi etc. I need a pipe to give me the most out of my banshee. For riding conditions im mostly trail riding and back roads too. Trails are nice and wide, alot of spots to open it up to 4th or 5th. Whats the best pipe for me? Thanks

I seen the kit on the site and it says "bolt on and go, well my question is has anyone ever bought that kit? It says it comes with everything needed and i didnt see anywhere where it said cut head domes etc. does that kit not need it? Im a little lost there.

I need opinions and facts from all the skilled builders on here. The best thing about this site is most members already know every part, spec, or idea for a banshee. I have recently taken over my dads 1998 banshee, im lookin to turn it into a complete multipurpose banshee! I want it to be fast to dust buddys on strait aways, i want it to handle great on trials (trails are nice smooth gaslines, well roads, old dirt roads not muddy or wet) and be able to ripp around the farm, do some barrel racing for fun in a field maby? I want some ideas of the perfect setup! I know its not easy to make a multipurpose banshee but i see the phrase "if you have enough time and money anything is possible" and i live on a farm and theres snow, I HAVE TIME! any input would be appreciated!

Man, i just cant see doing anouther 4 mill build, but idk, ill get a good price and do it all right and have 2 badass banshees! Maby sell my yz 250. And do the build with that money.

Ok, well heres the situation, this being a play banshee, for some fun around the house and maby some trails this is my current mods: vf3 reeds, coolhead with 21cc domes, timing plate set to +4, pro circuit pipes, wiseco pro lite pistons, k&n pods, hinson dirt digger clutch, billit water impeller, and stock carbs. Opinions on carb size? Most will say 26mm. But i have a great deal on some 28's locally and really want to snag them up! But i want opinions first

How do you get the spring off the shock?

Stock carbs, and everything in the carbs is ok. All clean and workin good. Plenty of spark too. Maby i need new plugs bc it was flooded??????? But they still spark fine? Ran just before i put the pods on?

I got my new pods from HJR today, and put them on and tried to start my banshee, it did not start, it has great spark but i take tge plugs out and its flooded! Why would it flood? It was jetted to run lid off the airbox, but it was badly flooded. Whats wrong with it?

I always get asked what does bigger carbs do for my banshee, really, i wonder the same, what does a bigger set of carbs do for a banshee?

Sorry about that zilla. I miss took what you said. But my trails arent swampy. Theyre like well roads and nice pipelines. I have no worrys about my pods.

I have info from zilla tellin me ill be ok riding trails with pods and outerwears as long as im not swamping my banshee. Hes really knowledgeable in the banshee building category.

They mount right onto the perches. Where the bolt goes thro the clutch/brake levers. And then a wire tie holds the front brake line to the hand guard. Thanks
