  5. Well my riding conditions arent so bad. Im on a farm which is pretty much where we ride. Theres 1,000 acres of land we farm and we ride old back roads and gas well roads to get there. Nows the time of season where my dad rebuilds his banshee and gets everything ready for next year. I have pods and ive really never had problems because i wasnt out riding in the rain or when it was sloppy, i just made sure if i was gonna be riding in the woods, id have something to cover them up from any kind of water that my tires might throw up into my pods. I will probably build the same for my dad when i get the chance. I want k&n pods, but im still reading to see what i actually need. I havent seen an outerwear that protects from water for the UNI pods either
  6. i was wondering if UNI 2 stage pods would be a good idea on a total trail banshee? i plan on also making a sheet metal cover to protect it from the mud and water like i did for my new build, but its not going to be a full box around the filters like the oem air box. thanks for any comments.
  7. Before i did my build, i had the same. But me and my dad build alot of custom parts, and do alot of things to help it run better and more clean. We stretch oiled womans leggings over the filters. That made it so i never had to clean it. Id just change the piece of legging. Pretty simple to me.
  8. Im interested in uni pods. I have them on my banshee, i got them for cheap new. Around 40$ so id really hope to find used ones for a little cheaper for my dad.

  11. Its for my dads banshee. His oem filter basket needs replaced and its outrageous. I told him id get him pods for cheap. (Under 20$)
  12. Im looking for a pair of good uni pods to fit a stock 26mm carb. The pipes ar pro circuit. So i need them to fit in those standards.

  14. Ok what i did with my motor so far while im waiting for my frame. I got it ported with a dune/play port, i put a hinson clutch in it with heavy duty springs, (dad would.t let me do an override for some reason?) I got my 4mil in and all new seals, and gaskets, im running a 19cc dome with my coolhead, i have a pro design water impeller, i did the modded shift star, and got my cylinderz coated yellow to match my frame, i made a skid plate N nerf bars out of aluminum, i used some old mods too like my vforce3 reeds, cross over tube and timing plate is still 4, with lightened flywheel.
  15. i have a pro design timing plate and its set to +4 now i believe or +5. im thinking im going to have F.A.S.T do a play/dune port, case porting, and if needed get my 4mil trued and welded, already have the wiseco pistons and gaskets on the way, and getting ready to send out my cylinders, cases and head to be done. for suspension, im not 100% yet, but im pretty sure itll be fox. im taking my frame to S.F.P.C TODAY!!!!!!! ordered new holeshot rims and xct tires, looking to have it all by monday so i can begin building this beast. gives me enough time to get some grains in the barn for some extra $$$$$$. i measured the frame and am going to cut a full frame skid plate out with the plasma now
  16. i got the cylinders because when i wanted to spend 500$ to get them ported a year ago, my dad wanted to save money and had his friend at a macihine shop "trail port" them for free, which i really dont think he did, because all he did was knife edge the intake and two ports on the bottom of the cylinders. i really want it done right this time now that i have the money. im looking to make the most power with the stock bore because i will be riding it on trails once and a while, but its mostly going to be a drag racer in my fields. always racing the big 4 stroke atvs and bikes, only problem is a quadzilla, ima mod the hell outa my banshee to make it king around my woods.
  17. this year all the hard farm work really paid off, i have a total of about 8,000$ to spend. on my banshee. so im tearing it down and doing a ground up build! heres the parts i have still in box ready to be added... BRAND NEW: pro circuit pipes, stock cylinders from yamaha, 19cc domes, 16t front sprocket, 40t rear sprocket, 30mm carbs, steel braded brake lines, new clutch and throttle cable, aluminum over sized radiator. MODS IM STILL BUYING: +2 A arms, +2 axle, +4mm crank, all new stainless bolt set. MODS IM DOING MYSELF: modding wire harnes to only what i need, gonna TIG up some nerf bars to fit my style, send motor to http://ledperformanceengines.com/banshee.htm for porting (agressive race port) getting the frame powdercoated yellow, make a small aluminup air filter cover with the TIG so i can ditch the air box, LED lights, lighten the frame ANY WAY possible, ANY OPINIONS ON OTHER MODS I SHOULD DO WHILE ITS APART, PLEASE POST, thanks.
  18. Sorry about that, i have pro circuit pipes. I hear so much about the 4mil and a serval? Im not new to a banshee, my dads had one since i was born which is why i got one. But theres alot of things ive learned from this sight. There are hardly any trails where im at bc suddenly everythings posted bc other riders have no RESPECT! so im looking to get into more of a field racer. I drag race all kinds of quads and really wanna make mine faster and more powerful. Im still trying to decide what to do. Whats a serval? Any opinions on what i should do?

  21. Trails like wide gaslines, shale roads, gas lines, some tight trails, lots of steep shale hills, dirt roads, fields. Lots of places to get wide open, im located near erie PA. Ive got the following mods: holeshot xct's the whole way around, PC pipes, adj timing plate at +4, wiseco pistons, trail/race port, trinity cool head, 20cc domes, 15/40 gearing, 28mm carbs, lonestar steering stem, +4 swingarm, no lid on air box, plus several 1inch holes drilled in the air box, water impeller, blue ice, klotz, 50/50 mix, motion pro twist throttle, renthal fatbars, bored. 020 over, D.I.D gold chain, and probably other little mods. What else would help??

  24. Im sure there are many guys on here wondering the same as me. What is the perfect motor, suspension, length, width, tires, etc for woods riding and off-road racing, id rather have fast and quick, rather than quick and eh:/. Any ideas of the perfect woods set up?
