What kind of carbs do u have? And whats your jetting?

My banshee. I did a build a while back. Also posted here. "Really going to build it right" or something. My dad decided he wanted a rzr 900 and gave me his 98 banshee. So im doing a trail build.

What are you comfused about? My posts make sence. Theres a site sponcor that has to do with selling carbs. These are MIKUNI carbs. They are not bored stockers. Stockers are vm26ss these are vm28ss. 2 totally different carbs.

Sounds good. Would a power jet do me any good?

These arent stock. Vm28's from mikuni.

I believe his set up is toomey t-6 and vitos superstock pistons. Stock bore. And thats it. Maby got the head shaved. I know the bigger you go you loose bottom end. But i think boreing them to 30 would be a little of each. I see people have power jets. What do these do?

I had a buddy who got 28's mikunis just like the ones i just bought last friday and he told me that his didnt do anything for his shee.

Im going to get a dune play port bc i want the awesome power for when im ripping down the back roads. Which i do more than anything. Do carbs really give u more top end? Maby i should go to 30mm or.......? Any imput would be great

I had the same problem same side. It was an air leak with the crank seal. But be sure to clean your carbs and your air filter.

I got an answer. Theyre tapered. I messure the inner part of the taper.

Should i bore my 28's since its free? My motor is: wisecos, trail port, cool head, 20cc domes, +4 timing, pc pipes, pods, 15/40 gearing, vf3's. Thanks

yes. well it is a addition. it sits just infront of my cool head below the oem radiator. overheating was a problem for my dad so i built it out of scrap aluminum for practicly free. not only that but my thermostat is in there. its for my auto-meter temp guage. with that addition, my temp range whent from 180-280 to 150 to 180. no engine ice, im pretty happy with that. and im making some fins to pull air into it. it should be a nice build.

Im in the middle of a banshee build. Im going to powder coat my main frame yellow this sunday when i have booth time in my shop. And do my a arms and swingarm black. Do full stainless braided brake lines, polish my custom radiator i tigged up, my cool head and my carbs. I have 28's on it but might throw them on my bore machine and bore them to 30's maby? Clean it all up make it look nice and post pics through out the whole build if anyone is interested. If anyone has any kind of frame, or cheaper engine mod to do while its apart, by all means please let me know!
