  1. Yes , resin will hold on for dear life ! Id scuff the tank with some 280 grit first . Then mix up small batches of resin and color and roll it on . Id do a few coats at least, but use the 280 grit in between them to scuff . Each coat will semi gloss no matter what, so it will have some shine to it . I wouldnt use anything but the resin color they sell for resin. Its in a little bottle , usually any auto paint supply store will have it.
  2. Thats kinda what i was going to suggest. Only on the outside of the tank.... Hell, id wrap the tank in a fiberglass and you can even color the resin if you dont want to paint it.
  3. Thanks for this post and all the great answers. It clears up a lot of the same questions i had. Is there a section on here for "noob"most often asked questions and answers? Maybe a sticky for it so any of us newbies could just read up in it so we dont polute the site with clutter? I know most of you know these things in and out. It sure would help me and any other new banshee owner.

  19. Wow , Thats awesome. I hope i can find a deal like that. I m on a tight budget , so i may be down for a while. Im still waiting on the final verdict of my crank .... I know for sure , I dont have $$$$ for a new one . I also didnt plan on a complete rebuild of my motor. I need pistons also.
  20. Try keeping the rpms up in second gear, but when you let out the clutch, dont just throw it out. The launch is tricky but try to slip it a little. Try it and see....
  21. Ummmm........ Can i break it to this guy or are you guys gonna let this guy be fooled? Some people just do not know motors. I guess as long as its fixed, and your happy, thats what matters. Theres NO timing chain.
  22. I may be needing a new crank, not sure yet . My question is ,should I buy new ,or take the chance on a used one ? For the $$$$ I think I should just bite the bullet and go with a new one . Real advice only please .
  23. Not pink / orange ! Not a hood scoop / a cover for the light opening . That quad wooped up on a lot of bigger quads on the track.
