  1. pods ftw! as long as your not gonna be going in deep water
  2. if your gonna go 4 mil save a lil bit more and just go 10mil. i kinda wish i went 10 mil. 4 mils are def fun though
  3. If the other plug looks the same your good to go. You could have a air leak on that side that you might not.know about ect. thats why plug chops are important and yes u must check both plugs
  4. x2 on jeff being a great guy and excellent customer service. ive been getting alot of parts from him lately. just ordered some new pods, grips, jets, exhaust wraps and plug caps
  5. x2 on a good seller. communication was great, shipping was fast, and product was just as described. thanks grey
  6. got the message cav. any others from around ct send me a message
  7. looks pretty damn good to me. do both plugs look like that?
  8. i got his dune port on a 4 mil and when i switched pipes from fmfs to shearers i liked how the bike performed better.any kind of drag pipe would of been better then what i was running with my port. it had more top end powerband pull which is what i wanted so it depends on what you want the bike to do. if i had the $ to do another build right now i would of def gone 10mil or higher and went with a different cylinder. i love my ported 4 mil stock cylinder dont get me wrong but the addiction takes over and i want more power did you try a lower compression for shits and giggles to see how it performed? ( higher cc dome) im kind of surprised though that when you went with higher compression and race gas that it slowed down. maybe too much pressure working against the crank with the port job? idk kinda talking out my ass here after a long night im . someone else can chime in on here. im sure you would like a different pipe though. its not gonna be as crazy of a difference as like when you got it ported but a different pipe will give it a different feel. kev will get you the best answer but just my 2 cents.
  9. reclean and be easy with the oil
  10. my buddy has a 250r. they have some good power and handle pretty damn well. however they do not have that arm yanking power that a shee has and how crazy you wanna go with the engine on a shee is up to you. banshees are the true screamers and always will be
  11. looking for people in connecticut with banshee's. maybe get a crew going and find new places to ride around here. or even if u got another bike thats cool. always fun to make new friends and have people to ride with. i know of 3 people that have shee's in my town and my buddy has a 250r. they dont seem to have the addiction that i and everyone else has on this forum though so if your in ct hit up this thread!! im in hamden
  12. we need your elevation and all mods done to the bike before you get a close answer
  13. interesting... never heard about the butter either. i would try it though. if it doesnt work try this. http://twostrokemotocross.com/2010/09/pro-clean-pipe-gel/
  14. alot of things depend on jetting.... a stock banshee motor with no leaks, in the summer time, with pipes, aftermarket air filter in air box with no lid and anywhere around 1500ft above sea level to sea level with stock carbs a 280 main jet should get you pretty damn close if not dead on. a proper plug chop will confirm it though and is the best way to tell how your jetting is. more air ( after market air filter, pipes, no lid on air box ect) = more fuel needed ( bigger main jets and sometimes pilots too) depending on elevation as stated above i would keep the stock needle on middle clip and throw 280 mains in and the 27.5 pilots. in the winter your gonna have to bump up the mains to around 300. here... look at alot of these set ups. if your not sure of your elevation goggle it. oh and dont forget to learn to use the seach function on this forum http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=99361&st=180
  15. nice bike and good luck with the sale. just out of curiosity why does the seat say 10 mil on the back. its a 4 mil correct?
  16. i had a high end miss on my shee awhile ago. i replaced the spark plug caps ($7) and it screamed since its a high end miss and you have replaced most of the electrical like stator with a know working one i would try that. make suret he spark plugs are on pretty damn tight. i thought mine were tight but they were not so i replaced them with new ones and problem solved. get back to us and let us know if it works
  17. free bump for a nice bike. i have a 05 in blue and its a fun bike. 04-06 was basically the same. not the best low end like the 98-03 models but it as killer midrange/top end like our banshees do good liuck with the sale. a few mods can wake up those bikes pretty good.
  18. welcome and enjoy the forum. x2 on pics
  19. welcome and enjoy the forum. when you give it more air ( k&n air filter) you need more fuel ( bigger main jet). you might have to go up a size to 290 and see what it reads after a plug chop. a actual plug chop ( cutting away the threads and looking at the plugs) will give you the best answer and will tell you alot about your jetting. you will prob use a 27.5 pilot. your jetting with 280 should be pretty damn close though... you may have a slight air leak. like i said do a plug chop with 290 and see what it reads. if you are not sure how to do a correct plug chop look on the site and you will find it. i was running 280 mains in the summer ( stock bike with pipes , k&n air filter in box with lid off and the same elevation) and 300 mains in the winter
  20. k&n with outerwears. i have yet to see a spec of dirt in my carbs even in very dusty conditions
  21. i always wear jeans even in the hottest summer months
