  1. so you have expereince with them?? they come true and welded from BOSS, i decided to pick it up anyways, looks like a good crank. this motor will not be a high horse machine either so we will see what happens
  2. Reason I ask is theres a new in box boss atv crank in my area for 225... normally I buy my cranks from TDR... but thats hard to turn down. Anyone have an opinion of them
  3. r u sure your not a 12 year old with an Ipad? i am getting settle hints of "young dumbass"
  4. normally 3-5% difference is acceptable... thats way over 10%... i would take a peak.
  5. alot of monday quarter backs in here... wildcard is the only one that has it down really... banshee wars is not around because of the political BS, not because "people got mad". Banshee wars 06 went BAT SHIT CRAZY.... it was like Godzilla vs Mothra down there... everyone and there mother was cheating, the guys defending their titles got heated, and we had a bunch of drunk ass non business men step in and more then just "fists" where thrown... it was bad. The people that originally put banshee wars on will never again be able to get a permit. FOr those who have wanted to step in (i personally have checked) it takes thousands of dollars up front for permits and hoop jumping to then hope you can turn it around. personally I find it just as fun to runt he hills on holiday weekends... someone is normally always dragging the hill and I like to beat up on 4 pokes lol.
  6. atleast your on the right track...the carbs, pipes and head... are large chunks of change so congrats on your buy. your cylinders are stock cylinders... IT DOESN'T MEAN its a stock banshee but most likely it is... whatever your seller tells you the bike has and you cant verify means your bike does not have it... if both bikes are running well, it probably will be a close race. are there any engraving on the cylinders? I am going to laugh when the guy pulls it apart and its a 7mill on stock cylinders set up oldschool style... ^thats your only hope to it being anywhere near 450cc
  7. its probably best if you sell your banshee and buy a scooter.... if you do a 4mil and do not port...your looking at maybe 5hp along with a funky powerband.... if you do an athena without porting, your looking at a fresh top end....(i cannot feel a difference between a stock top end with pipes and an athena with pipes) if theres a difference it is minimal. the 2 motors i have built for freinds/customers using the athena bbk I truly believe I lost horsepower. they have funky powerbands and are not consistent in powerbands at all... best thing to do is save your money and build a 4mil stock cylinder thats ported and has the correct domes... it is not difficult to get a 75hp 4mil on pump gas.
  8. So there's a guy on eBay selling mismatches? Wats his screen name? Rattle can?
  9. just realize that the devil...and your money...is in the details... I just picked a engine up off craigslist, basically an engine in a box all dissassembled. once I laid it all out, i just ordered 150 dollars worth of parts to complete it... thats nuts, half moon clips, key ways, wood drift key, waterpump crank gear, etc...... a full trans off ebay is in the 200 range if I remember right. Brace yourself.... its gonna be more blood, sweat and tears then you think...its not impossible but alot of people think its gonna be a afternoon with a lego set...
  10. holy ball bearings... ill just port the next set LOL thanks guys..
  11. ^ exactly what i have been preaching, ill stick together! thanks!
  12. So heres the deal... I am selling one of my bikes and trying to throw together a 350 for it instead of the 4 mill thats currently in it.. the 4 mill that was in it locked up a main bearing. The top case is ported and matched to my 4 mill cylinders , i have a stock upper case and stock jugs off a old parts motor no bottom case though... Can i swap the top case and use my old bottom case and have no problems? I normally dont like to entertain this idea because I have always seen problems of sealing when it comes to this. What does everyone else think?
  13. bore and a hone and your back in the game...
  14. id immediately cancel my order, its the biggest POS ever. dynatech is the only box for a banshee worth the money.
  15. do 3 heat cycles. start cold, let it run for 4-5 minutes or until it gets to operating temperature. then shut it down, let it cool completely and redo. 3 heat cycles and you should be good.
  16. T5's PC are fine for servals!! personally you have T5's keep em and run them... If you where really digging for the most horsepower you could possibly get you wouldnt have a serval in the first place. T5's are on MANY dune bikes that make over 85 horsepower... Will you get more power up top with a sniper or Shearer? yes... but how much? who knows. If your serval is "as cast" run a t5 or PC... if you have opend it up a bit I could understand maybe getting a new pipe... But are you willing to pay 100 bucks a horse?
  17. dont worry about what jets you need and all the junk.. lets just get it started for now... pull the bowls off the carbs, blow carb cleaner threw the pilot and main... clean any dirt out of them and put them back on. pop the cover off the throttle and spray wd-40 or some sort of penetrating oil and work the cable... before starting the bike make sure you can blip the throttle and the slides return back without hesitation or resistance. For your electrical problems.... I have no help for you there I have no idea what part of the ignitions those are. where exactly are they? it could have been a redneck key by pass but I have no idea... try to look for a wiring diagram for the banshee and go from there. I would definitely pick up a banshee manual next time your at the parts depot. try this... before u absolutely condemn the bastardized wire job, check to see if the bike is making spark... if it is, then you can atleast get it running and then proceed from there.
  18. As an owner of my own place, CONGRATS SIR! Your light at the end of the tunnel is an inspiration to those who are still holding on! I am very very happy for you. I wish you, your family and your business all the success in the world!
  19. running a 21x10x10 10 paddle extreme and love it on a 92hp Cheetah
  20. 14/38 depends alot on your engine and tires... i run 15/38 on anything above 485.
  21. ....picture evidence suggests you did more then "chill" at said trucks...... Beer must have been involved.... and to that... I toast you, most interesting forum poster...
  22. i run extremes on my daily duner (485 Cheetah) I ran 12 paddle rippers on my 611, i would lose a bike lenght out of the hole, but gain 2 up top.
  23. imagine getting the chance to ravage Katy Perry without the worry of jail time or child birth.... and thats what glamis is like...
  24. Good frame, straight as an arrow, no bends or cracks, ready to be cut down for a dragger or what not... it has chips in the paint, but its never been repainted. Ill get pictures if you really need them. thinking 250 since it has a clean title.... really hit me with any offers.
