Are the pipes Identical? I believe the gold series were before the fattys and thought there was a difference in the pipe. Could be wrong but make sure they are identical.

Check the neutral switch cover behind the stator cover. You will need to take the stator cover off. It has 3 bolts and has an oring behind it. Check there.

Fuck it. If you think its leaking, spray some carb cleaner around your seals. If it revs, its leaking.

If you want to know what you have, you can yank the head off and measure the bore with veneers and measure the stroke of the crank. Than you can pull your reeds out to take a look at the intake and see if any porting was done. Your exhaust ports could have been raised. You could have sleeves in the cylinders. Wont know unless you look. If your not real mechaniclly inclined, fuckin leave it alone and beat the shit out it! good luck.
