I bought my banshee at the end of the season last year and drove it around for a couple weekends, I figured it ran pretty good kept up with my buddy's 400ex, but i have never driven another banshee before so i don't have anything to compare it too.
I took the banshee out last week and I got my clymers manual and i was looking through it and noticed a tube that ran in between the two carbs, The choke tube, my banshee did not have one on it when i got it, so i don't know how long it ran without it. I researched this up and found this,
Q#31:What’s the choke tube and what does it do?
A#31:The choke tube is a small hose that sits between the two carbs, on the opposite side of the choke knob on the left carb to the left side of the right carb. The tube allows fuel drawn from the choke circuit on the left carb to richen both carbs when the choke is “on”. If the choke tube is removed and the motor run, it will run like crap, if at all.
I then bought some gas line and installed it where the choke tube goes, and my banshee has a little bit more bottom end, and idles a little better but that's about it. I thought putting the tube back in was going to make a big difference because apparently its barely suppose to run without it. So am i missing something here or am i just worrying for nothing.
