Talk to Jeff at FAST he will hook you up. I got a Magnum basket and his clutch setup on my dune/play port. -
I run 14 42. 13 41 was a little to low for me.

I'm running a stock stroke FAST dune/play port with DMC 916's, in the woods. What are you looking for?????

How many threads are sticking out if more that a couple the screw will hit the clutch cover and you will not be able to pull in the clutch. I did this when first installing my pancake bearing. Found out after i put everything back together and added oil. I recently installed a new clutch from FAST and magnum basket. Found I needed more adjustment but the nut was only grabbing 1 thread. So I took the pancake to the machine shop and had them cut it down to an inch and a half on the nut side. This allows the nut to have full thread engagement, and get the clutch adjusted where I needed it since the othe screw is too long.

Ok thanks. What does it do? Help lube the slide?
-
Does the hole next to the cable retainer where the two little screws hold it on get covered or vent into the top of the carb where the spring is? thanks
-
Is the pancake threaded rod all the way in so there is no room for the locknut when linimg up the arrow?
-
What shift lever and perch are you using? May not give enough throw on the cable or you cable is streached.
-
Did your fast clutch come with 6 new spring? I also recently in stalled a FAST clutch, and Jeff from FAST told me not to stagger the springs. Run all 6 springs that came with the clutch kit.

I would start with the 280 and do a plug chop. Post some pics and go from there. They should look like this. Its a 350 Dune/play port by FAST, with DMC 916s ,stock carbs, pro design foam filter, and VF3 reeds. This pic is a 310 main.

DMC has jett specs in the installation instructions. They say 30 pilot 280 main. this amy be to much fuel for you at that elevation though.

MULL ENGINEERING BILLET SHIFT STAR NOW AVAILABLE!
moledigger replied to blowit's topic in Sponsor Spotlight
Ordered mine. Will this star work with a shiftpro roller bearing kit? I have a modded star I did my self with a shiftpro kit and neutral is very hard to find still. -
2 or 3 sizes on the pilot doesn't sound right to me. Your saying go up to a 32.5 or 35 pilot? I have never even heard any one on bhq say they needed a 32.5 or 35 pilot on a stock stroke FAST dune/play port.

I have dynojet needles with 6 clip positions. They where in the bike when i bought it. Its in the lo to mid 40's here now. Summer is like hi 80's to 90, with lots of humidity. yeah I'm sure ill be playing with the mains again.
-
Re-jetted this morning 30 pilot, air-screw @ 1.5 and moved the needle down 1 to the 4th spot. Feels good now pulls right off idle. Didn't change the mains.

Did my first plug chop today on the new Dune/Play port from FAST. DMC 916 pipes, proflow with k&n no lid, 20cc domes 330 main, 27.5 pilot, Dynojet Needles 3rd from top out of 6 positions. Think I need to go up 1 on the pilot, have a bog off idle. The air screws don't have any effect until i go less then 1 turn in. At 1.5 the idle picks up slightly and doesn't get any higher the further you go out. The jet spec's that DMC calls out is a 30 pilot on a bone stock bike I assume, now I'm ported. What does every one think. Any pointers here are appreciated. Thanks BHQ

Ok so I down jetted to 340s and rode for 15 to 20 minutes pulled the plugs and they where slightly black. Not the washed out orange look. And no little watter drops. Yes there where some.
-
360 is what Jeff @ fast had me start at. Re-jetted today installed 340s. Didn't get to ride it. The plugs had tiny drops of water. thinking its just some condensation.

OK so I was riding last weekend on a long set of whoops down the train tracks when I stopped to let the other guys catch up, I noticed coolant leaking out the overflow onto the right pipe. Shut the bike off to check it out. Everything looked ok , bike didn't feel hot and there was about a 1/4" of coolant in the over flow. we whent to a small sand pit to race. Did 2 passes with my buddies. Smoked them both. LOL Bike got very hot feeling, but never leaked any more coolant, road the rest of the day 40 miles total. Today I went out to do some maintenance and noticed there was no coolant in the overflow. I pulled the plugs and they where wet looking and had a red or orange looking color. Also piston tops are solid black. My setup FAST dune/play port NOSS Head 20cc +4 timing stock carbs -tors 360 27.5 out 1.5 Dyno jet needle 4th from top
