  1. I got inpatient and took the side off of the tors box that had the cable that comes out of the top of the carb and goes up when u push the throttle in and took the bolt off that holds the slide or whatever in place then put it back on now it doesn't go up when I push the throttle so I think I disconnected something in the other side of the tors box
  2. I am trying to take my carbs out to clean them but I don't have a clymers manual yet so I need a little help. I have taken my gas tank and plastic and silencers off to make it easier I have two little blocks on top of the carbs that I'm not sure how to get off and I don't want to go turning nuts and bolts and screw my sync up on the carbs so how do I get the throttle cable out of each carb with out messing up the sync
  3. Me and my friend and his son are going the first weekend of april. He doesn't have a banshee but I do some of you guys should try to go then too and I'm going to haspin acres around the 28th of this month so if anyone has the time we should get together there too
  4. Thank you sir I appreciate it
  5. I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this question and I'm sorry if it is I'm new here but I bought some used pipes and they have some rust on them and the silencers are a little dull does anyone know what I might be able to do to make them look a little better or get the rust off them
  6. I have just bought my banshee about 2 weeks ago and I have just bought the toomey t5 exhaust and I want to get a cool head but I have read a few posts about them on here I have seen that running certain octane gas and getting the wrong cc dome will cause the motor to blow so I wanted to know how can I figure out what's the right domes to buy and gas to run. I'm sure that the higher the octane the better but around here its only 90 pr 92 unless I wanna spend 9 dollars a gallon on the 110 octane but that is a little pricey and I may not be able to afford it everytime I want to go to haspin for the weekend.
  7. I have no clue what a plug chop is, I am new to the atv scene I just rode my friends when I was younger and always liked the look sound and power of the banshee so that's what I bought
  8. I have just bought a toomey t5 exhaust and headers I have a completely stock banshee except for that my elevation is less than 1000 does anyone know the jets I should be able to use. I haven't ever had to figure out the jets I should be using and I bought the exhaust used so its not coming with the jets it should need
  9. I do mainly trail riding and I try to aviod water if possible also my banshee is all stock except for my exhaust I am waiting for that I ordered its the toomey t5
  10. I have been looking at air filter mods and was wanting some opinions on which is the best type. I have seen ones that replace ur airbox lid and ones that look like they go directly on the carbs and then the ones that go in the air box so I don't kno whih to buy
  11. Just an update I am waiting on my rebuild kit for my carbs to get here, I am just gonna redo it while I have it apart since it sat for so long
  12. My banshee is just stock and I kno that all that stuff works I was hoping someone might be able to kind of point me in the right directions cause I'm not rich and can't afford to spend thousands right now and I'm not sure what to start off doing. I wanted to get some exhaust but someone told me aftermarket exhaust shortens the life of my cylinders
  13. I am curious as to what I can do that isn't too expensive but will improve the power and performance of my banshee
  14. Where is it that you guys get these chariot cool heads from I haven't been able to find the website that sells them
  15. I was toying around with it today and I forgot to turn my gas vavle on to the carbs and it ran and did exactly what it was doing that made me post this so I'm sure that what is wrong is that it isn't getting enough gas after running for 30 seconds or so do you guys still think the carbs just need cleaned or could this be a serious problem
  16. Thank you all for the suggestions, the guy I got it from said he always ran yamalube 32:1 but when I was growing up my best friends dad always said klotz was better so I bought that the r 50 and was going to try 40:1 I just wanted to see if anyone else had tried it
  17. If I pull my spark plug out and it is coated in oil am I running too rich
  18. I am looking for some kind of exhaust other than stock but don't have the money to buy it brand new
  19. I have just got my first banshee its an 01 all stock what would be the best gas oil ratio to use
  20. Do you kno what a stock banshee's timing is supposed to be set at this is my first one and also do you know any way I can sync the carbs cause I don't kno how to do that either
  21. Ok that is what I thought but I just don't kno how to do that with 2 carbs and keeping them in sync
  22. Ok that is what I thought but I just don't kno how to do that with 2 carbs and keeping them in sync
  23. I have just traded my warrior for a 01 banshee and the guy said it has sat for a few years, it start ina kick or 2 but when I rev it up or ride it it will bog down and die. If I leave it in nuetral and give it a steady constant amount of throttle it will rev for about 30 seconds then die he said it could be floats sticking does anyone know if that could be it or has anyone else had the same problem
