Lol. I dont run mikinis but I had a similar setup but with 38 pwks and it ran with 45 pilots 150 mains. So however that can transfer over to mikunis

2nd gear making grinding noise and won't move

2nd gear has a brass bushing it rides on the shaft. That can wear and cause wobble. The shaft can wear and cause wobbly other gears also. And you can have worn or missing washers/shims inbetween gears itself. So many things to check, but its real easy to do. -

Straight cuts have zero to do with shifting. If Cam replaced everything he wanted to do, then im sure he would of done shift modifications and or a promod trans. Or atleast recommended it.

Yes Ive done it with and without orings. Orings do change the dimension. How would you pinch an oring when you put the head on the same way as you would any other time?

Ive seen a several scp chassis in action. They are nice. If thats what your looking for, you wont be dissapointed.

The clutch nut is 60 some odd lbs. So yea an impact does the trick. Use zippies or a tie down to hold the crank up into the top case half.
