  1. I think it would be fairly realistic to relate the percentage difference in cc to the percentage difference in hp potential
  2. So cool bead OR send your stock head to get re chambered which will be more economical with better results than off the shelf cool head domes. Then a port job from someone like HJR(always treated me right). Lastly advanc your timing to the degree your porter recommends. If you ride alot of tight trails and you have ready access.to 100ll I would re chamber the stock head for that. This along with the advanced timing will give your bottom end a big bump and the port job will have you screaming in the midrange and up top. All for roughly 500bux.
  3. Yeah pistons crank domes port work swingarm. You are looking at taking a good 1200 dollar step. You will have a badass setup, but do you really need 75 hp? And with that kind of hp comes more.missed shifts so you may as well do a duneable override if you plan on dragging. Honestly if you dont need to be extremely competitive in drag racing, I suggest you just send your jugs to get ported. That will be a huge bump in power and yiu may be satisgied with that. No splitting your cases upgrading your tranny and all that. My .02

  5. You will spend 3x the money building it yourself vs buying one set up. If you got 15k or so to blow I suggest building one exactly how you like it. It depends on your budget.
  6. Look. The serval is great and all, but it seems like you just want to build a quad to smoke your buddies, which is NOT what the serval was created for. You will spend alot more money than you need to to do some bench racing. Im not sure what kind of competition you have, but if you do the following you will beat 90% of what is out there: Mill and rechamber your stock head or buy a used cool head 100 Get a used set of cpi shearer or rocket pipes 350 Send your jugs off to a good builder like HJR for a port 450 Just that would have your horsepower in the 70 to 75 range and you will be spankin all but the baddest 4 pokes. You may need some other mods like extended swingarm tires and tranny mod if you have trouble shifting but power wise thats all you really need unless you regularly come across fully built race quads.
  7. Yeah I need a set of aftermarket pipes pro circuit fmf toomey pt anything I can get for 250 shipped that are in good shape. Also need a swingarm with chain +4 or +6 I need a set of shocks front and rear And lastly i need a complete set of fasteners (nuts bolts and washers) Lemme know what you got. Thanks.

  11. What would I have to do to get this thing set up for a 170 lb rider on a standard swingarm?

  16. Yeah I talked to Kevin and he said the dual carbs will work much better on that engine.
  17. Has anyone had any experience with both of these setups on a ported engine? Pros and cons of each one. The engine was dune ported by HJR and I am running fattys. I believe the 2:1 has a 34mmPJ on it or mayne a 35mmPWK. Thanks.
  18. Dibbs if the porting looks good. Please post close up clear pics of the exhaust ports, transfer tunnel entrance and windows and intake ports.
