I got curious and swapped Oem needles in. The dead spot was there again right off idle.. It was a lean sounding dead spot. Didn't mess with pilots which may have had some affect. Air screws all the way in kinda helped a small amount. But I basicly just wanted to see what needle would affect at various clip positions.

64.00mm bore stock cyls. Havnt been ported or sleeved, and in pretty nice shape. $240 shipped in lower 48 or trade for 35pwks. Thanks!

Didn't like 27.5s with the Toomy needle. With a stock needle I think they would have been the ticket. The pics arnt intended as a plug chop. Just interesting as an overall because of the washing...

It could be spark maybe, doubt it though. I took my wiring, coil and cdi off another bike to complete this one.

With stock needles it had that lean hesitation. Swapped needles and cleaned up. Had 27.5s in it and it was rich feeling. Rode at the dunes so quite a bit of wot time. Never felt funny or anything. Feels pretty good for a stock bike. Coolant is still as full as began with. Did another leak down and passed nicely.

Couple weeks ago I posted a bike I was fighting jetting on. Got it lined out I thought. Bike runs good and no hesitation. Havnt done a real plug chop yet, just tinkering around with it. So pulled the plugs after an all day ride(5-6gal). Kinda interesting looking, never seen a gas plug look like this. Thoughts?? 25 pilots Airscrews 1 turn out Toomy needle on 4th from blunt end 280 mains Only mods are t5s and pod filters.

I'm still on stock reeds. Went and rode it today. Worked quite well. Toomy needle did wonders. Surprised me!

It's all good man. I went to a local shop and picked up some "Toomy" needles. After swapping em in at 4th clip from blunt end I notced-- Interestingly while cold it doesn't like to rev at all. Will idle nicely though. No bog just real weak sounding. Once almost up to temp it'sway better. Wound up about 1 round out on air screw. Pic of each needle. Very diff..

Been tuning alky so long, stock carbs are kicking my ass. Got a good deal so picked it up. Anyway Stock stroke, stock bore, cool head, pods, and t5s. 280 mains give a nice plug chop. Needle in middle clip. And thens my problem. Idles good. But right off idle it stumbles. Tried 30 pilots and played with air screws. Dropped back to 25s and it's still not crisp.... What jetting would you suggest? 145psi. Passed leak down, reeds nice, carbs spotless..

Why so against the 10 arm and a lot of tire? Can you throw in on and go. Hell no it'd be unridable. Sometimes the dunes hook hard. Other they are crazy soft with blow sand. Cheaper than 5 sets of rear tires.. But when u need more tire and don't have it..
