  1. Does anyone have any idea where I can buy the 400ex and old 250r ohtsu tires. Every where I call either say they have been discontinued or just don't have em. They have to be somewhere I just don't know. Please help. Really need these tires. Thanks

  3. Oh ok...could that cause it not to shift under load? And I just use 4stroke motorcycle oil. Is that bad?
  4. Can someone tell me what's the purpose of the clutch rod and ball so I can have a better understanding when I take a look at it?? Thank you
  5. well i did what the manual says do as far as adjusting but how much does the pusher and eccentric screw play in bad shifting. Yeah ive read plenty about the shift mod, really dont wanna take the basket off, such a hassle. And another reason why im not pressed about the shift mod is cause like i said before, shifted perfect before i did the tusk clutch.
  6. oh yeah disengage, thanks for correcting me. i ruled out the cable being stretched due to i have plenty of room to screw outward on the clutch handle. hope yall get what im trying to say. not for sure what that screwing piece is called. anyway what do u mean to see if the rod is mushroomed from the ball. i do recall that lil ball in the middle of the clutch i couldnt get out...... if that helps any
  7. ok thanks. ive adjusted according to clymers, i was thinking maybe that it was so stiff to pull in that maybe i wasnt fully engaging the clutch allowing it not to shift. just a thought.
  8. ok, so ive searched and havent found anyone with this question. i dont have a high hp engine just some minor mods. so i got a tusk clutch with heavy duty springs. let me back up. Before i changed the clutch it shifted great riding normal and under load cause i drag a lot. ok back to what i was saying. now that ive installed the new clutch and springs its stiff as hell and when i went to drag could never get it to shift from second to third. made me lose everytime. but when i just ride normal it shifts fine still a lil tough tho. someone told me that i should use 3 heavy duty springs and 3 of the stock springs to help with shifting and the stiffness. Has anyone done or heard of this is, would it make shifting easier, thanks. i know of the shift star mod but im trying to avoid taking the basket back off since it was shifting great before i change clutches
  9. I just bought some used stock carbs with the tors removed so I checked everything then. But I am using the same jets 340 main and 27.5. So ill try to go up a size or two on the pilot. Thanks..
  10. not sure how I would be flooding it? Will excessive kicking cause that? And yes by any means necessary
  11. Ok peeps, here's my deal. I've had a hard time starting my shee for awhile. So I've been doing an old trick that I picked up from my old yz 250. So after kicking and kicking, ill blow into the side hoses on the carbs and a gas will come out through the pods. After a couple of times doing that starts right up. But I get tired of that. What could that be an indication of. To much gas maybe??? Seems like when I clear the gas out the carbs it fires easily. Help please...thanks
  12. Well peeps....I finally got the clutch basket off..and I see where exactly that piece goes.... So I'm lookingd for the screws and noticed that both of the screws heads were missing and the screws were in the the holes....so I'm looking for the heads of the screws and no where to be found...guessing they had to escape somehow even more stumped why both the heads came off....oh well seems to be all good so I'm putting it back together...thanks everyone. I needed that.
  13. ok cool..so the ruling is basically i dont need it..thats good to know. now finding these 2 screws is what im worried about. dont see them anywhere. guess ill keep looking. thanks everyone a bunch. cause i had no idea.

  15. oh man what a quick response...thank u so much. i figured it had to be somehere hidden. have no idea why it woulda broke. also figured that it screwed in somewhere. then i was thinking if it was screwed in then the screws woulda held it in its place even if it did break. so u think some screws are off where it pose to go?

Hello members....ok....as i was changing the clutch today, and turned the clutch cover over to let bolts stay in the holes, half of this piece fell out..i was stumped. then i look closely at the bottom of the casing on the same side and the other hallf was just laying there. i put em togeter and they form this. and i could tell they go together cause it was a perfect match..Has anyone ever seen this piece or know where it goes..?????
