    motor needed

I've got a complete stock motor, pm me.
  4. What books would you recommend reading to learn more about porting? I'm always interested in learning something new.
  5. Ok guys I've got an 87 I just picked up, thinkin about parting the whole thing out, only thing I'm keeping is the rear fender. I'll part it out if I get interest in the bigger items. Running stock motor, stock stroke, unported - 800 shipped. +2 J-arms 200 shipped. Stock carbs - 100 shipped. FMF pipes - 200 shipped. I will update the list with pics and more parts later but I do have the complete bike so let me know what you need. Please pay 3% extra for PayPal or gift it.
  6. I traded a z400 for my 98, it threw a rod bearing shortly after, I decided to go with a 4mil and a trail port and I love it!
  7. It's actually a friend of mines, it does need tie rod ends because I already borrowed them for my 98, other than that everything is there, he took it apart to do a frame swap and already has another frame and new j-arms, so I guess it would be worth it.
  8. Might fix it and give it to my wife for Christmas
  9. Yeah the motor is good, I just don't know how much to expect from a part-out. I just want to make enough to rebuild my brute force.
  10. Found an 87 j-arm, it's complete but it's taken apart. The motor is still together and ran when it was taken apart. The guy bought brand new +2 j arms for it that are chrome and it has fmf pipes. He wants 500 for it, should I get it, put it together and sell whole, or just part it out? Or should I not even bother with it?
  11. If its bogging on topend it's probably too much fuel loading up in the cylinders and not being burned off. What's your setup and what size jets are you running? Did this just recently start to happen or is this after a major change or rebuild?
  12. Bump! Someone buy these before racing season!
  13. That thing looks awesome! Total transformation!
  14. You should look into getting a pancake bearing as well. I had Jeff port my cylinders last year, basically the exact same setup. Currently I have 34 PJs and just got my R2's in yesterday! But it's a sweet setup and makes real good power, you won't be disappointed!
  15. Thanks man! It was great dealin with you a well! Hopefully those R2's will show up today and I can ride some this weekend! Still have the drag pipes, they're just sittin on a shelf.
  16. It's awesome to have a woman that likes the same stuff as you! I'm getting married in 9 days to a beautiful girl that loves to hunt, fish, ride four wheelers and drink beer! How awesome is that!? After driving my brute a few times she was addicted and we got her a Honda rancher, and after she rode a friends quad she loved the power...I'm predicting another banshee in our shed!
  17. I make my own, heat treated 17-4 stainless, polished finish....if you bend one of these it would be the least of your worries!
  18. Check your plugs, make sure they're tight.

    In-frame CPI's

Looking for a set of chrome inframe, small bore CPI's, with silencers, let me know what you guys have! Also looking for a bumper, nerf bars with heel guards, chain tensioner and roller, and maybe a set of handlebars.
  20. If that gasket was leaking and causing pressure to go into your overflow I would replace it, looks like you've got yourself a 4 mil! You could get a coolhead from one of the sponsors that has domes cut for the added stroke, that way you wouldn't need that copper gasket, instead it would use an oring
