They will fit together, the maier front grill I have never fitted properly. It gaped from where it bolts on the side all the way to the top. Get jd to do you a contrasting carbon wrap for your stock grill, maybe in red or black?

That maier stuff doesn't fit well at all, the grill goes nowhere near anything! It gapes at the top! And the tank cover isnt much better. I ordered it from the usa when i had my blue fenders but they just sat in a box a was disatisfied with them. The grill isnt even yamaha blue and is made of a cheap matte finished plastic. It was really a spur of the moment thing with the red front, I never thought I'd win it. I need a front fender with the dumbo ears for it to go through the road legal test and my voltric is race cut. So I may have to pick up a new black tank cover and grill so i dont have to run these but they're far too expensive on eBay.

I got the 2008 red front yesterday, it's not in as good a condition as I hoped but can't complain for the amount I paid. I mounted it up to show it against the rear for you, even though the grill and tank dont match!!

Has anybody modified they're fenders in a different way other than just chopping them off? I.e. Cut a new shape or trimmed the fronts etc. If you got any pics post them up.

LEDs are the way forward, high output at low wattage. You'll have to do a dc conversion or rig them up to a battery. Here's a good example...
