Darn close to 80HP after more tuning and a swap to 35PWK's.

honestly, its hard to tell the bottom- end power because it comes"on the pipe" so fast...... but the mid-range pull was quite a bit better. The over-rev and top-end pull were also much better.

I did a 421 serval on my bike (now my wifes) and went from t5's to Shearers..the T5's were holding it back seriously compared to the Shearers. You'll be pleased with your choice.

That flywheel side shaft looks NASTY.. looks like the flywheel was not mated well to it.

Since you already have the Shearers,why don't you put them on,re-jet if needed, and tell us what you find out? When i went from T-5's to Shearers,i noticed more over-rev.

I think what people are saying man, is that even if you WERE pushing 90hp,for your type of riding you shouldn't need a lockup. I'm running a 4mil Serval with all the goodies and drag raced/hot lapped thru 2.5 tanks of fuel straight thru and didn't slip or burn my clutch (driveline btw),,,. that was in the sand .....with paddles. and that was after duning for 2 hrs. that's pretty harsh on a clutch. So i guess what im saying is,,triple check your clutch adjustment , i bet its off . It should be holding what you are doing. Either way,something is off IMO. .

Just wanted to clear up what i said about your engine. I was refering to you having 70-ish HP BEFORE F.a.s.t got ahold of it and the clutch slipping. It should have held then. If you are at 95 hp now,,,well, you are pushing the limits.

Dude, i read your whole post and in my opinion, it sounds like your clutch is not adjusted right or something.... dont you run i hydro lever? I had one that gave me fits when it came to getting any REAL adjustment. I finally went back to a standard cable/lever setup,,,problem solved. I say that its prolly an adjustment issue for that reason AND the fact that myself and several others ARE putting down 75-90hp on the Driveline/R1 clutches ,,,in that sand with paddles, and AREN'T burning them up. If they will stand up to that abuse,they should take Hare Scrambles fine. Something to look into at least.

What kind of rubber intake boots are those? They look longer than the standard Mikuni.

I cant say i totally disagree with you Chariot,but i DO disagree with you making those statements in a thread i specifically started to let fellow owners know about the quality of a particular Banshee PRODUCT they offer... If you have beef with Mattoons business model ,,,,well take it up with them personally...not in a "PRODUCT review" section.

Update: Got the Mattoon Billet basket installed.... its a real nice piece . everything fit well and the backing plate is nice and heavy duty . All the hardware was good quality too. I'd defiantly give them a shot if i was in the market for any other parts they make. In fact I'd PREFER to do business with them compared to some of the bigger names out there like Boss or Magnum just because of the quality of their product and they are more of a "Mom & Pop" business. IMHO.

The mod i've used is opening up the slot where the adjustment cam/bolt goes. It just allows more travel. .......now is there another mod i'm unaware of? If so, i'd like to find out about it.

While looking for a billet clutch basket, i stumbled upon Mattoon Machines ebay page.....i was unaware they carried as many different products as they do. I was under the impression that they only made Billet Cases. Their prices are great and they are a site sponsor as well.
