  1. Yea, i just assumed (i know) that since he said tighten it to .15" , he meant .015".
  2. Well, I'm not a "pro" , but .15" squish sounds really,really tight. Plus you are making very healthy power as-is....why change it?

  4. Its not a Mattoon. Call Cam at Redline, he sells those. They ARE hard coated . I dont think Mattoons are.

  6. I really liked my SB CPI and Shearers on a 421 Serval. The CPI had a touch better TQ curve , and the Shearers made a touch more peak HP. As far as speed,i doubt one was "faster" than the other. The Shearer has slightly better plug and air filter access as CamATV alluded to. Something that may help you finalize your decision is which one you can actually buy/have shipped when you want them. Many of the sponsors on here keep a set of SB InFrame Shearers on the shelf ,or can have them drop shipped the same day you call,
  7. Would you consider trading for a 1989 S-10 with a long bed and 2.8 V-6? Its a long bed and i'll throw in the camper shell too. 283.000 miles,,,driven by an old lady. BTW: Beautiful bike. Bump!
  8. ^^ This. Also, get an ASV lever and new cable. Lube the cable before installing (i like the "Gunk" brand chain and cable lube with Teflon). Simple,effective , easy pull.

  10. Thanks. The only thing i could come up with,is that there are a lot of full face streetbike helmets that are Snell AND DOT approved. Not sure about offroad.
  11. Figured it was time to bump this to the top with a question . Q: Why do you see some guys swear by full face ON-road helmets over the standard MX helmet? Reason I'm asking is I'm upgrading my gear this year and would switch to a Full Face if there is some benefit I'm overlooking.

  15. I hope topics like this eventually make some kind of change in this sport. I think without some semblance of professionalism, this sport will continue to die a slow death. If we could get some big-time sponsors and publicity it will only infuse money into it. As for the guy thinking it just YOUR choice,,,no its not. Surely there is someone in your life that would prefer you around for a long time, and preferably not in a wheelchair. What do you have to lose by wearing safety gear?? Its not expensive. Its not an inconvenience. I cant fathom why someone WOULDN'T want to wear it.
  16. I have some blue fenders .Front and back,but no radiator shrouds. They arent cracked,but need some TLC ( sanding and buffing) 50.00 plus shipping.

  20. Actually thats incorrect. ^^ I HAVE hit a telephone pole on a motorcycle at approx 50-55 MPH sliding, and cracked a helmet. I'm pretty sure that without the helmet, i'd be dead. Granted, when i went down i was going 55-60,so when i hit the pole i was going slightly less,,but still i believe it saved my life.
