  1. I defend him cause he is not on here to defend himself!! There has been only a few people that took time to help me when I needed help and everything he has told me was correct. There are a few site sponsers who have helped me as well and I thank them for that.. But there not the ones getting bashed all the time on here?? Most people are afraid to speak up here if there is a problem cause as we all know they will get all kinds of shit!! I have had 2 of my friends not happy with work done by people but no one will speak up?? Wonder why it's like a cult here.
  2. Yes , big bore pipes were meant for the 535 motor . He can get more useable power on a 465 on the small bore pipes. IMO you would be hard pressed to find anyone that has done more testing on motor combos and done design than Matt Shearer!!!
  3. I don't think he makes them for the cub but I could be wrong? I'll ask him next time I talk to him, I know he will not recommend them for any cub cyl if it is ported correctly from what he has told me in the past.

    Once you line them up do you notice the spin on the rims at all? Befor I put bead locks on mine they would always spin on me a little so sometime they would be lined up sometimes not ?
  9. Loco as far as your big bore pipes not fitting, I called shearer to ask if big bore pipes would work on my serval since I am thinking of doing a 535 anyway and will need these pipes.. His responce was NO THEY WERE NOT MADE TO FIT ON A CUB AND WILL HIT THE FRAME. He said they were made for the 535 cyl apperently the exhaust on the cyl is at a different location. So your having to use a pry bar is normal since it is the wrong pipe for a cub. Try putting a ford header on a chevy if wont work either?
  10. Cool glad you are liking the serval I have a 10mil serval and really like it as well. I would put the shearer pipes on it this way if you ever want to do more to it with porting you will be set..!! I have been playing with my setup and I have the shearers on it again drive it to day it is insane on the hills. I used to think the cpi's had more down low but my big problem was my reeds I have rad valves in it. Which was killing my low end reeds were way to stiff.. I have been constantly changing stuff and it keeps getting better. Glad you are liking your new motor
  11. Well I've only had or seen 3 pipes crack a dyno port a t5 and a CPI , wonder how many of these pipes had solid mounts on them? If the engine moves the pipes have to as well
  12. Ok so now were back to the fitment issue seems funny it's the same few guys always bitching?? Mine were a new set they fit perfect and there are 4-5 guys I ride with that have them they all said they fit great hmmm?
  13. Yea I would go as big as you can!! I know your not looking at aftermarket cyl yet but the serval cyl is a nice setup that later you can port for much more power, not to say you can't with stock cyl either.
  14. I think it mostly due to lack if airflow. But I figure I should do the pump and radiator if they will help a little? If I'm cruising it don't seem to get to hot but going slow and it hillclimbs it gets hot and will sometimes puke coolant out the overflow
  15. Ok here is my question my stock one is still in there, and I would like to upgrade.. I would like to go with a chariot ultra flow or mull I knot they are both good, the mull looks closer to stock and the chariot looks bigger and all cavities are closed by the shaft where the mull is open like the stock one I would assume the mull would produce less drag? But would it still flow the same? My cooling system is all stock and gets hotter than I want we are not going fast alot of time but are really working the engines on the hills. So I want to get a new impeller and oversized radiator and possibly a billet "water pump" gear from mull What are your thoughts ? I did search and did not find out as much as I would like thanks

I think what windy city John is trying to say and so am I but no one wants to hear it is all these motors are not great running motors, meaning if a "better pipe" is to better it has to make more power it useable power , But I don't mean in some " average " running motor I mean against the best running motors !! What I'm saying is say that brand "A" pipe and builder can make say 100hp then to say yours is better it would need to be more or more useable. Basiclly what are the best numbers all these motors make? And have you beat them cause if not how are they suppose to be better?
  17. mailman what is the best power you got out of the 4mil dm so far with the snipers or shearers for that matter? did you end up ever getting more out of it? should'nt that set up be making over 120hp if done correct? is'nt a built 421 running 105-108hp

  20. yea on the top side of chain or sprockets the clip would go with the full closed radius part " ( " toward the front

  22. good question does passion and or sniper have a dyno to test there motor setups out?? the only reason I ask is if a builder sets you up with a set up like the 4mil DM you obviously have a shit ton of money in it and he should have proof as to what it will make, and what carbs pipes domes etc. you need to use I'm not trying to be a smart ass but if I put that much money out I would want a honest answer as to what it would make, and what parts to use.. I dont think mailman had 34pj's on that motor either so the carb thing seems kinda weak
  23. why is a motor passion built with there pipes (554) 4mil dm only making 113hp on race fuel? I thought they would make more ?
