  1. I wanted to build a recreational rider and trail bike that made huge tq numbers and a usable power curve that was capable of withstanding the abuse of being rode in the woods, but also produced enough raw power to smoke any non-drag oriented quad that wanted to line up against it. I also wanted a strong lightweight chassis that handled good without causing the rider to be fatigued so bad that they could barely get off their bike at the end of the day. That's were the long travel chromoly frame that I designed comes in. It should be a really nice Banshee when I'm done with it.
  2. I guess you could say I accumulated the parts and components over a two year period. It took reputable builder just over 16 months to build, granted a lot of the wait can be attributed to $1,850 Crank Work's 10 mil Billet Short Rod Crank that has 115mm Pro-Rod's that I went with and had to wait on. Last time I added everything up I had over $13,800 in the 10 mil motor on modified stock cases and the related components (exhaust, carburetors, clutch, transmission, etc) labor included. I can say with 100% certainty that I did everything possible to insure maximum reliability, performance, and efficiency from start to finish with this 10 mil Cheetah. and it's hard to say how much all the machine shop labor and materials that were sponsored would have cost that was done for free. I can assure you it's built as good as it it possibly could be.
  3. I know you have been Tyler and I appreciate it. Back when you went from Shearer's to LED a guy ask you about putting a set of LED Custom Pipes on a trail bike that was rode in mud and water on a regular basis. He was pretty much asking if they would flash rust and discolor, and you told him you sprayed and wiped yours down with WD40 to prevent this from occurring but the raw finish probably wouldn't hold up very well in those environments..... are you sure you didn't say something along those lines? It wasn't anything you meant in a derogatory way. Maybe I dreamed that, but I thought for sure I saw you tell somebody that. Maybe you were messing with them and I took you literally. If I misspoke I apologize.
  4. No problem man, I was beginning to think I was the only one that liked the PV Cheetah. Lol The Cheetah is a very capable power plant if they are ported and built properly and the correct component combination is used. If you decide to build one someday hit me up and do what I can to help you.
  5. I never said Arlen didn't make awesome pipes. I've heard Tyler tell more than one person that the LED Custom Pipes are constructed from thin material and the finish or lack there of doesn't hold up very well in wet muddy conditions. I wasn't concerned about their performance abilities as much as their ability to hold up and endure the environments they will be exposed to in the terrain I ride in. and I'm still not saying they won't be fine, I simply stated I had some concerns based of what I heard from the guys that run the LED pipes. The pipes I was involved with we're not out of the box stamped pipes that were produced in mass quantities for your run of the mill Banshee.
  6. Your absolutely right the temperature of the gases inside the expansion chamber does effect the speed of the pulse waves traveling inside the pipe. With a tuned two stroke exhaust system the sound waves should match the engines RPM or be very close in order to achieve maximum efficiency and power gains. My pipes were going to be hand built using a hydroforming method vs the conventional hand coned method that's used by most pipe builders. Ron Borrink developed and perfected a hydroforming method that was repeatable and very precise and he engineered the original equipment and tooling that was required to build one off custom pipes using this method. That's why Tom needed me. He had been around all the equipment and tooling that his brother designed and built and he knew how everything functioned but he didn't know how to go about recreating it and exactly what components would be required from other random pieces of machinery and function together. I basically designed and engineered the Tom's new pipe hydroforming pipe building equipment from what he remembered and was able to tell me about the equipment he used when he was working with Ron building custom pipes 12+ years ago. As you can see from the picture below I succeeded on recreating the equipment. The method Ron developed and used is pretty damn impressive. Their pipes started out as two flat pieces of sheet metal that were welded together, then blown up like a water balloon. There's a lot more to it that but it's Ron's method and out of the respect I have for him I won't divulge the specifics of the process or the equipment they used in order to build pipes.
  7. What? I pulled all those pictures off my phone and uploaded them to photo bucket a while back. Which pictures do you think were stollen from a for sale thread?
  8. Make sure your carburetors are tuned properly and the engine is free of air leaks. Both of those things can cause issues with high engine temperatures. Fuel, oil premix, pipes, dome specs, air filter maintenance, and clutch condition can also play a factor when excessive engine temps are involved. If you've checked all those potential problematic factors. Move on to the paragraph below. The increased coolant holding capacity combined with the improved and much more efficient water jacket design that the CP Industrie's Serval and PV Cheetah Mono-Cylinders and the Driveline Assassin Cylinders make a HUGE difference in the engines average operating temperatures. Changing the stock jugs out for a set of aftermarket cylinders produces the greatest reduction in engine temperatures. I also would recommend that you purchase the following cooling upgrades, components, and products: • Chariot or Noss Cool Head • GPI Oversized Aluminum Radiator • GPI Silicone Hoses • CV-4 High Pressure Radiator Cap • Mull Engineering or Chariot Billet Impeller • Chariot Quick Drain Water Pump Cover • TWO2COOL Racing Coolant/Antifreeze • Royal Purple "Purple Ice" Coolant Additive • TWO2COOL RTL-2 Crankcase Oil • 4oz of ZMAX Micro-Lubricant In Crankcase • Keep OEM Coolant Overflow Reservoir I've found all the stuff I listed above to be beneficial to the Banshee's Cooling System. I used to run hare scrambles so I came up with a few other mods that will reduce engine temperatures. I purchased a 1990 OEM Suzuki LT250 Radiator Air Scoop and modified it so it would fit and channel fresh air through the radiator while traveling at very low speeds. Another good way to get temperature reduction is increase your crankcase oil holding capacity. This is done by purchasing a Lock-Up Clutch Cover and modifying the rear crankcase vent and replacing the rear fitting and check valve with a bigger aftermarket version. I hope my input is beneficial to you and helps you out.
  9. I'm not disputing that Arlen doesn't make a great two stroke pipe, he's probably the best out there right now, but I don't know how well his pipes would perform and hold up where I ride. I educated myself and did a lot of in depth research on two stroke expansion chamber designs when I was working with Tom and regardless of everything that Tom ended up doing to me I still feel very confident that his brother Ron Borrink was in class by himself when he was in the pipe building game. One of the main things that I feel gave his Pipes a distinct advantage over all the other pipe builders before after him was the hydro-forming method that he developed, perfected, and used to build his pipes. The exhaust rarefaction and pulse waves travel around the walls of the expansion chamber at the same rate or close to the same rate that the engine is turning. These pulse waves carry the unused "scavenged" fuel that escaped though the exhaust port and into the pipe on the previous piston up stroke back up to the exhaust port where it's pushed back into the cylinder combustion chamber and mixed with the fresh fuel air charge that entered the engine where the fuel is ignited and the scavenging process starts over. Every weld seam will cause cause a tiny disturbance in the pulse waves that travel along the inner walls of the expansion chamber therefore effecting the rotation speed of the pulse waves which directly effects a two stroke pipes performance. I'm sure the weld seams are accounted for when the pipe is designed but it seems to me a pipe that has a smooth expansion chamber that's free of obstructions would effectively scavenge fuel better at a much more consistent rate. See diagram attached bellow: I think FTZ Racing is capable of designing and building a set of their Super Fat Inframe Pipes for the Banshee that would compliment a the PV Cheetah and work very well. I need to contact FTZ, SCP, and Sniper and give them the specifics on my motor and what I do with it and get them to give me a price quote on a custom set of chrome plated BB PV Pipes, Stingers, and Silencers and get their input on my options and which one will work best for me.
  10. I contacted Ron right after everything happened and he said he was planning on building a big set of pipes for a new snowmobile he just bought and he would build me a custom set of pipes when he did his, but summer came and went and I never heard anything. I did get to see the Hydro-Forming Process that Ron used and perfected back when he was building custom pipes and his business was in full swing and I engineered and paid for 90% of what was required in order to build custom pipes. A matter a fact I'm the only person that blew up a pipe the entire three months he was out here. So theoretically If I wanted to take the time to do it I could build my own set set of pipes. I might give it a try someday after I'm caught up and I don't have so much other stuff going on.
  11. I have found it to be much more efficient when used with bigger engine and carb combinations too.
  12. I I like it, it works very well. The Intelajet System feeds a metered stream of pre-atomized fuel/air; like a fuel injector VS a metered stream of raw fuel only like other power jets available on the market today. %5BURL=http://s1295.photobucket.com/user/Thacker1982/media/IMG_0398_zpslhxdx5zs.jpeg.html%5D%5BIMG%5Dhttp://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b639/Thacker1982/IMG_0398_zpslhxdx5zs.jpeg%5B/IMG%5D%5B/URL%5D %5BURL=http://s1295.photobucket.com/user/Thacker1982/media/IMG_0866_zpsrp8artb1.jpg.html%5D%5BIMG%5Dhttp://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b639/Thacker1982/IMG_0866_zpsrp8artb1.jpg%5B/IMG%5D%5B/URL%5D %5BURL=http://s1295.photobucket.com/user/Thacker1982/media/E2SAirBoxPic3_zpse0ff11b9.jpg.html%5D%5BIMG%5Dhttp://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b639/Thacker1982/E2SAirBoxPic3_zpse0ff11b9.jpg%5B/IMG%5D%5B/URL%5D %5BURL=http://s1295.photobucket.com/user/Thacker1982/media/IMG_0867_zpssbidyed9.jpg.html%5D%5BIMG%5Dhttp://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b639/Thacker1982/IMG_0867_zpssbidyed9.jpg%5B/IMG%5D%5B/URL%5D %5BURL=http://s1295.photobucket.com/user/Thacker1982/media/E2SBigLittle_zps49face8f.jpg.html%5D%5BIMG%5Dhttp://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b639/Thacker1982/E2SBigLittle_zps49face8f.jpg%5B/IMG%5D%5B/URL%5D %5BURL=http://s1295.photobucket.com/user/Thacker1982/media/photobucketairfoil-small_zps5f850b0c.png.html%5D%5BIMG%5Dhttp://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b639/Thacker1982/photobucketairfoil-small_zps5f850b0c.png%5B/IMG%5D%5B/URL%5D %5BURL=http://s1295.photobucket.com/user/Thacker1982/media/E2SAirBoxPic1_zpsed3ae70e.png.html%5D%5BIMG%5Dhttp://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b639/Thacker1982/E2SAirBoxPic1_zpsed3ae70e.png%5B/IMG%5D%5B/URL%5D %5BURL=http://s1295.photobucket.com/user/Thacker1982/media/E2SAirBoxPic6_zpsb0031182.jpg.html%5D%5BIMG%5Dhttp://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b639/Thacker1982/E2SAirBoxPic6_zpsb0031182.jpg%5B/IMG%5D%5B/URL%5D %5BURL=http://s1295.photobucket.com/user/Thacker1982/media/IMG_2855_zpsp7eqla1z.jpg.html%5D%5BIMG%5Dhttp://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b639/Thacker1982/IMG_2855_zpsp7eqla1z.jpg%5B/IMG%5D%5B/URL%5D %5BURL=http://s1295.photobucket.com/user/Thacker1982/media/IMG_0871_zpsbpbpdoqc.jpg.html%5D%5BIMG%5Dhttp://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b639/Thacker1982/IMG_0871_zpsbpbpdoqc.jpg%5B/IMG%5D%5B/URL%5D %5BURL=http://s1295.photobucket.com/user/Thacker1982/media/E2SAirBoxPic5_zpse01fbc16.jpg.html%5D%5BIMG%5Dhttp://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b639/Thacker1982/E2SAirBoxPic5_zpse01fbc16.jpg%5B/IMG%5D%5B/URL%5D %5BURL=http://s1295.photobucket.com/user/Thacker1982/media/IMG_0870_zpsfr9tflho.jpg.html%5D%5BIMG%5Dhttp://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b639/Thacker1982/IMG_0870_zpsfr9tflho.jpg%5B/IMG%5D%5B/URL%5D
  13. Sorry about the double post guys I don't know how I managed to screw that up that bad.
  14. I haven't got my lightweight, long travel, chromoly frame done yet Guns but I'm working on it a little at a time when time and money allow. I'm building the new frame out of 1" and 3/4" OD .095 41/30 Chromoly, tig welded, gusseted, heat treated, and powder coated high gloss red. After the new frame is completely finished I'm ordering a Stellar +4 Heavy Duty Arched Ladder Swingarm, the YFZ-450R Walsh Racecraft LT A-Arms, and LT YFZR Fox Float-3 Front Shocks and a Dual Rate LT Fox Podium Rear Shock w/ Remote Resi. Then I can take a weekend and transplant everything over from the old chassis and over onto the new chassis. I'm still a ways off from having the frame finished but my motor is done. I ended up building a Pro-Trail Ported Short Rod (115mm) 10 mil 535cc Power Valve Cheetah that's setup to run 100LL Av-Gas. I identified and addressed every part of the Banshee Engine that could be improved and updated. I don't have a bushing in my entire engine. The cases were machined and bearings and seals were used in place of them. I'm running a micro-polished, cryogenic treated, pro-modded six speed with straight cut primary drive gears, billet 2nd gear, upgraded transmission bearings, full bearing c-clips, 8-plate clutch setup with DL stealth lock-up (Rekluse Tungsten Carbide Ball's) heat treated to clutch push rod, dual ceramic clutch push rod balls, and all the clutch and shift upgrades available for the Banshee. I ended up coming up with a bunch of cool mods that would increase reliability and performance and extend engine life. For example, I wanted to increase my crankcase oil capacity. So I bought bigger Direct Drive Aluminum Clutch Cover and I started looking for a larger crankcase vent/check valve that would allow a little more pressure and heat to be released therefore increased the crankcase oil capacity. I could go on and on with all improvements I came up with and incorporated on the 535 Cheetah I built, and I know that a lot of guys will say that a lot of the stuff I did was unnecessary, over kill, or pointless but everything came together nice towards the end. I've seen a substantial improvement with some of the mods I did and some I didn't see produce any noticeable improvement, but none of them had any negative effects.
  15. I bet you would. I've already got two sets of pipes and doubt very seriously that you've got or would even begin to know where to get a set of pipes built that match the specifications on my motor or the terrain it was engineered to perform in.
  16. Lol, I'm sure he could Madmike. I didn't see him doing it when he was squatting on my property, I didn't find the bag of needles and glass pipes until he was already gone. I will admit I was stupid and naive, and I let the idea of a one off set of custom BB PV Inframe Rockets cloud my judgment some, but the pipes weren't the only reason I ended up in a mess. I did a lot of stuff just to help Tom get back on his feet building pipes again because I thought he was a friend.
  17. There's more than one pipe builder in the world and I've got set of OG Rockets and a set of R2 Rockets. If you hadn't been such a dick I might have gave you some of my old inferior parts to help you out with your basket case..... but you had to be a dick!
  18. I found a picture n2otooslow-bc-all-ive-got-is-a-box-of-parts-&-a-big-ass-mouth's Banshee. I'm going to go out on a limb and say he's not as smart as he thinks he is and no where in the same spectrum as the "average" bear! I usually don't like to assume things about people I know very little about but I feel pretty confident in this case! Just a little advice n2o_____whatever your name is. Don't talk shit when you can't back it up or you've got a box of parts. It's a sure fire way to making yourself look like a idiot. Lol, come back and try again when you've got something that resembles a quad of some sort.
  19. Lol, are you being serious??? PARTS?! Yes we are all seeing the light all right. Please post some pictures of these parts!
  20. Oh, you got me there! Your just another looser that has nothing including but not limited to common sense, a clue, or half a fucking brain that shit talks all the people you feel inferior to. So you've got one hell a list. Please move on to the next person that gives you a inferiority complex and leave me alone.
  21. Post a picture up of your Banshee. I want to see what you've got.
  22. I bet I've got more equity than you do. Just sayin.
  23. I posted this thread to try to help everybody out and give you guys a heads up on what Borrink is doing these days so nobody else would get ripped off or loose any money. I don't know why there's got to be that one ass hole that doesn't know when to keep his mouth shut. Zilla had finally backed off a little and n20slow has got run his mouth about something he knows nothing about.
