  2. how long are the stock rods vs a 4mill stroker rod?

  9. i measured from the highest point on the underneath of the dome and in the o-ring recess i have 1.5mm and on the other side it is 0.7mm so my guess (correct me if im wrong ) is that its a stock stroke dome . And about squish measurement how do u go about doing that ? im quite new at this so thats why ive been asking so many questions just want to get it done right
  10. yeah its a multi layer metal gasket and its about 2mm thick i guess if it was on it before it will be needed again but i will try to see if its recessed
  11. i have 21 cc domes but as far as recessed im not sure
  12. that could be right i have a 4 mm crank and a pro design cool head. but i ordered the wiseco top end kit with gaskets piston etc why wouldnt i get the same gasket
  13. yeah but my old one is like three gaskets in one can i reuse it if its not damaged
  14. i am about to put my top end back together just received the kit today and my head gasket that was on before seems way thicker than the one i received is this normal ?
  15. well ive had some work done for myself in quebec im from new-brunswick so its about the same distance and they done a real good job as far as boring my cylinders but i cant say anything about port work never had it done here is the website http://www.cvtech-aab.com/contenu/index_ang.cfm
  16. just want to know if its something i could tackle myself
  17. i have been rebuilding my top end and want to open the bottom end to make sure any piston fragments from a piston skirt break arent in there . just want to know how much of work it is to open it up and if special tools are needed thx
  18. ill give it a try and let u know what hapenned
  19. yeah its a pretty good kink but didnt seem to affect performance at all
  20. ok seem like a good deal but i have a 4mil stroker kit so it wouldnt be the same pistons right ...thx for the advice i think im gonna go the safer way and bore it out to 0.030
  21. ok here is a litle update of where im at after tearing it down i found a broken piston skirt on the intake side of the right cylinder .I retrieve a small piece of the skirt in the base which was stoping it from turning there wasnt any obvious signs of an air leak . a sligtly torn boot but not all the way trough . the right piston has a litlle more slack in the cylinder than the other one 0.005 mm to be exact i believe that is the limit on the left side it was closer to 0.004 . could a lean condition break a piston skirt or was it the slack that could of cause it . hope someone can help me out dont know if i throw new pistons in or go one size bigger in the cylinder im already at 0.020 over thx
  22. just want to know if anyone ever tried to unkink a pipe by putting water in it and leaving it in the cooler over night ... ?
  23. hey i just blew a piston on the right side a first i thought it was a plug because it was only running on one cylinder so i shut it down and unscrewed the right plug first and it was white . put my thumb on the hole and crank it over by hand to see if the compression was there and on the second crank it wouldnt turn no more . so ill be taking it apart very soon to see what happened in there . what could of cause one cylinder to be running very lean . ill keep you up to date when i tear it down . thx in advance
  24. ok thx for all the advice
  25. ok but if im running jetting for colder weather and it gets warmer will taking the lid off the airbox correct this a little?
