another theory is that the crank seal went out, or clogged jet in the carb on that side causing a lean condition and detonation killed the bearing. i would definitely check every last thing including carbs, reeds etc with a fine tooth comb before running it with new parts.

i have a set of 35.5 FTZ mikuni flatslide alky carbs and i am wanting to go bigger around a 40mm carbs (alky) i have some cash to boot, but not a whole lot. let me know by pm if we can work something out. thanks!

might as well use a snowmobile engine if your going to make the swap, because you will need the belt setup to run it. by the time you ad the clutch setup, wiring, battery/charging system (mainly to run a electric water pump) you have a big heavy clunky looking bike. with today's technology and Calvin's cylinders the power can easily be reached with a "banshee based engine" idk right off hand what the larger engines 18+mm DM engines are making, but you can come damn close to 120 on a full built 421 cub motor. go on up in size and i am sure money will buy you way more than your ready to use at your average dune fun drags. a lot of ppl have went the engine swap route and have realized it was a waste. hell i think there is even a video of a turbo busa banshee getting raped by a larger stroked banshee based engine.

ok so i ordered the moog tie rods from the other thread and they are in fact too big. mine are a 1.50 thread pitch, but i am pretty sure they are a M14 bolt instead of a M16. any help would be awesome! i have ordered a few other tie rod ends, but it may be a dead end. thanks!!

should have caps on them, if not you can get caps. they are threaded. egt monitors are for tuning stoich/AFR's and are very critical for proper tuning when ever hp counts. are they necessary on a play bike...? no not really.
