  1. I run FMF pipes fattys gold with turbine 2-Q I got some other engine work to much to list, spider trac tires!
  2. So I heated it up with a torch waving the flame back and forth, letting it cool than going back at it, when I was done it looked great bend marks where almost gone. the torch did take some of the shine off the plastic so I took a buffing wheel to it and did not hold it to long in one spot for to long just waved it around on the plastic, got the dis-colored marks out and shined it up looks so much better I am pleased I'll post pics. thanks guys!
  3. If any one know this thread direct me, or send me this guys e-mail. thanks
  4. can you re-chrome old pipes, I have a little rust on my FMF's and I tried getting it off polish all that stuff, I think its time to re-chrome, do people do this? how does it work any flaking? and who does it out there with good pricing? there's no dents or dings so I'd like to keep them.
  5. I mostly trail ride there nice turns top speed is around 45 to 50mph, average is about 40mph, fun trails! I have spider tracs love em to bad they stoped making them, swing arm is stock but I have a +2 just waiting to put it on. I was thinking if I put a longer swing arm on wont that be more leverage to sag more?
  6. I saw a guy on ebay selling a boss radiator now he could be lying but they look just like the chinese radiator?
  7. I got one cant complain I also have a trail tech vector, I started out with a PWR radiator that came with the bike, good thing he gave me the stock one to, I soon shot off the trail and a branch went rate threw it, after I cried I threw on the stock one, it leaked so I bought this china one for $145.00 I thought it would just be a temp fix for now, but its held up for 4 months and the best part I added a billet impeller my temps a between 12 to 20 degrees cooler so vector says. and this was when air temps were about the same, the welds are nice on the unit and over all look to be well made, I recomend this to anyone with a budget. one thin to watch for is the overflow and the coolant line that goes off te head the fittings are not at the same height(like stock) do not cross these or all your coolant will run in your overfow. fitting by the radiator cap goes to your overflow(highest point) the other fitting that is on the other side and slightly lower goes to the coolant line off the head! hope this helps i can always send pic's
  8. I tried this and unless you have a longer frame the hoses tend to make a small kink nothing big but enough to slow flow hose frome homedepot are not pre-formed I ran the hoses from china though. Work great its pretty tuff to make hoses wrong even for the chinese.
  9. hey, buddy i tried the stock cap on this radiator it worked, but i have to tell you there is no difference between the to as far as quality goe's but the china sticks is pretty ugly.

  21. I have bent fenders to the point they dis-colored there blue with light bend marks from mostly strapping it to my truck, I have heard that you can take a heat gun or a torch and slowly heat them to get rid of these marks has anyone every tried this? does it work? thanks, Matt

  23. same here, I tryied the resistor tach wire, witch is not for the banshee we(me & trail tech) just gave it a try, nothing... the vapor did'nt even read, so I went up to radio shack an bought a 640k resistor(i think that was the k's) sodered it in and nothing, so resistor was not bad. they sent me new vapor and nothing, finalily I just gave up got the vector and am very happy with it, here's the problem if you want to upgrade coil, stator in the future your vapor will no longer read the tach, always check you ground I sanded of the paint and tapped a hole direccetly off the frame you cant use other grounds and watch out because the speedo likes to ground to the spindel so some teflon tape will fix that. the vapor was not worth the month and half of down time, I missed my first snow! by the way my banshee is a 1999 whats yours I cant get my photo of my banshee to post so here's a link to pic's http://s682.photobucket.com/albums/vv182/mattrentz_2009/Yamaha%20Banshee/
