  1. Makes no sense if there's an airleak makin it lean why is it so rich on the plug. Could I spray some carb cleaner around the carb boots to see if that's where the leak is? Just looking for ideas.
  2. How can I test for air leaks?
  3. Do I need the straight or angled ones? I try to stay out of muddy conditions but seems like mud doesn't seem to really get into that area? Would you recommend them for woods riding?
  4. I am wanting to get one of the larger fuel tanks. How much fuel do they hold and do you need to make any modifications to anything to swap them out? Thx. Mike
  5. I just installed 27.5 pilots. I know the air mixture screw is to fine tune. I had it like 2 turns out but I can't get it to idle right. It is not smoking alot no. It runs perfect except when I think I got the idle where I want it after revving it it will not idle back down to where I had it ( like an air leak or lean) or then when I idle it back down then after a few minutes it will idle way too low and die.
  6. Man I cannot get this thing tuned. I get it where it idles where I want it but still sluggish from 0 - 1/4 throttle. Then a little bit later it starts idling alot higher. I turn the idle down and it's fine for a little bit and then it goes down too far and will die. Above 1/4 throttle it screams, just can't get that 0-1/4 circuit right. I had it idling what seemed to be good after installing brand new plugs. I pulled plugs and they were all black soot.
  7. Yes I see what your talking about. I will just grind some more off until I can screw it in far enough to get a good idle. Won't be able to work on it until get days off work again. Hopefully I can get it fine tuned then. Ordered some more jets from Vito's. I got a geeling i'm dead on with the 310 but wanna go up to make sure and do a plug chop after I get the idle worked out. I could feel it really pull up top and I never even hit 6th gear.
  8. Appreciate the info. The screw goes into the carb a good bit. I am suprised that it needs to go further. I'll just grind some more off and keep screwing it in. ALSO: Does my jetting seem about right? I am really suprised that I need to go up more. It might be dead on right now but I want to go up until it bogs. Guess I need to buy 320's and 330's?
  9. Well I guess I solved the WIDE OPEN issue. What about increasing the idle? It definitely needs more. Just grind some more of the boss off on the carb so the screw can go in farther? Thx. fellas
  10. WIERD........it was running out of gas and guess made it run lean and scream. O.K. on my idle screws. One side is threaded all the way in and the other still has room to screw in. (must have filed off more on 1 side) They are both in a good ways but it still doesn't idle high enough and I can't thread the other side in anymore. I just installed 27.5 pilots. Should I file more off the 1 and turn them both in some more? ALSO: I went from a 260 to a 310 main for rejetting purposes. I had it pegged in 5th so far and it pulled good and never bogged. I was expecting it to really bog and then work my way down. So I guess I have to buy BIGGER mains? Thought this was high for my mods. T5's, K&N lid on for now, VForce reeds, reed spacer, boost bottle.
  11. soon as u start it goes full throttle. Help please wanna get thing running right
  12. Installed idle kit and getting ready to do some tuning and rejetting. Adjusting air screws and tuning. Go for a run and all a sudden the thing sticks wide open. Throttle slides aren't stuck. TORS is removed never had problem before.
  13. Is it gonna be a noticable power gain and which part of the powerband?
  14. Anyone know of any HareScrambles in southeastern Ohio? Thx. Mike
  15. Yeah K&N now and I would definitely run the Outerwears.
  16. I have been thinking about running PODS. How much HP gain to you achieve and how much does it affect your jetting? Do you have to make sure to stay out of any water/mud. I don't mud run but there are occasions when you hit some water and mud.
  17. Still looking for the adapter. I
  18. I thought the tool helped setting the idle screws on both carbs. Where as you have to grind the boss down on each carb and you can't go by how many turns as 1 boss might be filed down a little bit more or less than the other.
  19. I did try to sand it the best I could. Don't really feel any burrs. I'll take a better look at it. Ordering jets tonight. Thx. for the help.
  20. How much for the ProFlow adapter to 45640?
