  3. Easy? Slow down there killer.. Im gonna bet your going to want to put near 2 turns on the rod and somewhere around the same on the PJs... Id worry about getting the bottom end fixed then really start to focus on the top. It might be worth a call to Packard and explain to him where your at and what your doing. More often than not he can get you a really good starting rod measurement.
  4. LOL... If they have PE-1 and your are up 3k feet in elevation its going to be rich compared to the last setup. Do you understand how Lectrons work? There is a really good write up online that explains what and where the adjustments are. (very few of them) They are simple but you dont wanna get greedy on turning things. Have you ran it at all yet?

  8. RUN IT! Worst that happens is you wreck the forks and flip the motor upside down and put a std tranny in it and a fork and your back in action knowing you've tried it. I persoanly think that if your atleast reasonably mindful about what your doing it will last WAY longer than you think and when you line up to drag race you will try to face fuck yourself because you are so happy you have it!
  9. Ive built a few. They are simple in some places and technical in others. Ive got some pics on another computer of a 600 polaris triple based one I did years ago. Ill see if I can get them to PB.. There are plenty of chassis builders on this site. If they would like to give out info on where to get the parts and materials for the build I will let them tell you. Although I dont think any of this stuff is black magic secret stuff I do believe that the chassis builders should still get some business whether it be a full chassis, or a parts sale.

  15. More often than not many of these hack motors have not lived and have been taken to a different builder and that builder has tried to do some damage control. Whether thats the case here or not I dont know. But most likely if its from that era and still running well its either been made to work better by someone or its one of the few that actually worked and lived. Either way run the shit outta it and have fun!

  17. Yep its a cranker. Rotax (in the case 583cc) snowmobile cylds that are grafted with a PILE of work to a banshee case. These were rotary valve motors. At anyrate they were built years ago in an attempt to make bigger motors. They are still cool simply because of what they are but most small cub motors will outrun them with little problems. The 670s are around also and arent much better. Is it for sale?
