I think there is more to it....like: how it returns to idle after a rev transition from idle/pilot-needle most people dont realize but you can often adjust a range of 1-2 pilot sizes in the full travel in the air screw. So imo the pilot and air screw play a equal roll in throttle response and over all tuning . Chris

Brandon is my #1 choice for all my parts, after the way he got my dm work done as well as many other parts..I need to look no further. As for the original Question, Id have him cut a trans with no worries.

I have used 3 springs before... For me this was only because the track i was at was a real loose track , I also used secondary springs and weights in conjunction with this.. Some builders i have heard will do something similar to this and add a TON of weight to the arms . IMO this is a very crude way of making the clutch act like a two stage clutch, however i have seen it work with ok results. I have seen this used to get a smaller motor to pull big tires, however i believe there are other ways to do this. Lately i have been using a modified hub/pressure plate to measure total spring pressure. chris

Ill answer all i can tricked no problem.... And to the surfacing question.. I do mine on a surface grinder with a med grit wheel. As far as the cryo treated steels , i don't use them but i do use steels that have been heated and refinished and see more consistency there.
