  1. I got all the supplies just a little bit ago and made one. I am going to wait until later on to do the test because its really hot outside, and i have some things that I need to get done. I will post my stuff here in a little bit.
  2. ok lol thats what i thought just making sure, because my guage did look different..thanks for the specs on what size pvc i needed and freeze plugs. wasnt for sure on things so ended up not getting stuff today..i keep saying this haha but i really want to get it going again so i will for sure make a trip to murphys tomorrow.

  8. I am wanting the trinity 2 into 1 carb. I will need everything to install it. I have stock carbs right now. i got this and thats about it really. I have stock carbs with tors removed, few main jets, and k&n pods... I also have a pro designs cool head with the studs, and 21cc domes. you will need a o ring kit for it.
  9. I have stock carbs, and a few extra main jets. I am missing one of the idle screws, though...tors is removed, i got the cross over tube, and i got k&N pods. Tors elimination is like brand new.
  10. the sticky on here well i had a slime guage, and my brass tip does not screw out? it will screw out from the bottom of the guage and theres a small looks like rubber hose and you pull it off, i cant get the brass piece off? do those plugs work fine? I had seen some complaints about them and others got rubber caps.
  11. I will try getting some bigger pilots..although that would be happening to both cylinders and not 1 right? If you don't care post a pic of the leakdown tester you made. I have saw a cpl different designs. I am wanting to go to the store and get what i need..its raining outside so a good time to do some work in the garage.
  12. how do i find an air leak...i sprayed carb cleaner all around the boots and carb and didnt notice and change in idle...i guess a leak down will tell me where it is exactly? could it be that one of the cylinder gaskets didnt seal or head gasket didnt seal or something? also, everything was fine...the jetting was perfect for that exhaust when i first got it. ive put everything back to how it was since i got it except for the k&n pods...i can pin it wide open everywhere and it still does the same..but i will try to get a pilot a little bigger..i thought pilot was basaically the idle jet.
  13. also, my left side isnt really smoking much? my right side is smoking a lot more??
  14. definately not the jets. took float off and cleaned the float needle...carbs are in sync..lines are not plugged up coming from the petcock. have not done a leakdown test. probably going to round up the supplies tomorrow and make one, because im not getting anywhere..I sprayed carb cleaner on the intake boots, and didnt notice any change in the idle.
  15. alright..anyone lol. i really want to get my shee up and running...when i first got this banshee it had a bad stator... I put a new stator on it, ran it down the road, and it blew a head gasket...put a new head gasket on stock head..before i did anything else, i did a compression test...it needed a rebuild...so i rebuilit the top end and now both cylinders have equal psi. i went out to go down the road and it didnt seem right...changed the plugs and went down the road still no go..it was cutting out a little, and seemed like not all the power was there...so i came back to my house, pulled the plugs and the one on the right side looked like it was really lean..320 mains in both sides and left side is fine..the plug is burning down at the bottom, but at the top its still white...i put new plug caps on it...checked for a spark and getting good spark. its smoking from both sides..but it dont run right..still cuts out if you pin the throttle....im out of ideas..carbs clean, jets are clean...revs up if you pull the throttle on one of the carbs at a time.. things ive tried...new plug caps..put timing back to stock..cleaned carbs thurouly....replaced choke tube....pulling on the throttle cable 1 side at a time and it revs up...reeds are fine..has a new stator.... mods...toomy exhaust, k&n pods, adjustable timing plate (set at stock right now), 320 mains, 25 pilot, tors eliminated, stock head shaved i guess because it has 180psi at 400ft above ground level.
  16. ok guys, put my stock head back on. have 180 psi in both cylinders (i know, high right..must have been shaved or something) it was alot better than it was. but, left cylinder, plug was nice and tan with 330 mains....left side spark plug still looks brand new??? im getting spark, reeds look good...jets are clean?
  17. just an update...tried new caps, and still no go..didn't get around to anything else today though.
  18. i believe i have the only banshee in my town...small town, 3500 people at the most.
  19. im pretty positive the coil is grounded good. it was running good before the rebuild, just my compression test showed otherwise. tors was already removed prior to rebuild as well. I will get some new caps tomorrow and put them on and see what she does. I will also do a compression test tomorrow if i don't see any results from the new caps. crossing my fingers on the caps.
  20. tried new plugs, and still no luck. I have never done a leakdown test. ugh, ill try doing a compression test tomorrow. ill look into some new caps, but i want to try out these tests first.
  21. Ok, heres my mods. Toomey exhaust, .020 over, pro design cool head with 21cc domes, K&N pods, +4 timing. The last time i rode the bike is when there was only .020 over, and toomey exhaust, jetting was perfect. I honed out the cylinder, ordered new pro light pistons, put a cool head on with 21cc domes, added the k&n pods, and the timing plate. I went bumped the size of jets i think by 2 at first. It fired right up, revved it up a cpl times, let it warm up, and took off. Started down the road and it start cutting out, or popping..kinda how my last banshee did when i had a bad stator. So i get a new stator, put it back on, set pickup gap to .017, and boom, same thing. tried going from a 300 main to a 310, then 320, then 330, and same. I am stumped. Put new gas in it, 50/50 with avgas and 91, mixed with klotz 40:1....tors is removed, im stumped, cant figure it out....reeds looked good as well. havent done a compression test, but top end went together smoothly, pistons were nice and tight in the sleeve, everything. Can someone help me figure this out?
  22. I have a 07 450r. Good condition. Kick start, and electric start, new clutch springs and plates, pro taper 1 1/8 bars, razr 18 rear 19 front. fresh powdercoated frame (high gloss black), lexx exhaust, k&n air filter. Want to trade for a wrangler or a cj7. 618-841-5187

  24. thanks for the input guys, i got one for 8 shipped off ebay. I am waiting on my new stator from ak anyway. Hopefully they will get here at the same time.
