if you got alot of rust. Bundle up a bit of aluminum foil and dip it in non diet coke and rub off rust. it works killer

I got it figured out now. I kept getting confused when the needle valve term was used. I thought it was the big ass needle in the center of the carb. I cleaned everything but the one thing that is causing my problem. I will just get new needle valve assemblies for each carb. Thanks for the help

Just finished putting my 07 lr shocks on tonight. I took the dust cap off one end of upper a arm to gain a cunt hair more. I also bent the lower shock mount tabs just a tiny bit on left side. Right side has more clearance then left for some reason. I have just over and 8th inch of left side and maybe a 1/4" on riht side. And had to trim the upper mounts a bit. Was easy to install. Ran it up and down the street and it runs killer. I just need to now how to set them for 190lbs running sand dunes mainly.

I have stock mikuni carbs w/ 260 jets, tors removed, k&n air filters, fmf exhaust, fmf cdi, v force 2 reeds. I live in southern cali. sea level. I usually ride Glamis or Ocotillo wells. Is my jet size ok? the bike seems to run pretty damn good. But I'm wondering if it would run better with a different size??????

well my guess is that the previous owner hasn't done anything to these carbs. I bet they need a rebuild then for sure. Do you know if a complete rebuild kit comes with the part you mentioned or is that sold seperately? Thanks for the help bro

After 3 months of a complete frame tear down and top end replace the rebuilt shee started in two kicks. I am stoked. But one last problem remains before I can run it. I pulled the float bowl cover off and cleaned the crap out of every hole and piece I could clean on these carbs. One carb keeps dripping gas out from the float bowl drain tube. The drain screw is tight. It does not do it when running by the way. I hear it is the needle not seating. I played with it up and down and still leaks. Do they wear? do I need a new one? I know I should do a rebuild but I am heading on a trip next week and just want it to run for this trip. I can hit all the details when I get back. Any suggestions? Do I need any new parts or does it need more adjusting? another quesion: is there a bushing inside the rear brake lever that keeps it from being wobbly? Mine wobbles like a mofo

Which trans oil do I use? the manual says 10/30 or 10/40. I can't remember. I use elf oil in my dirtbike so thats what I was gonna use. But they were out of it until next week so the guy sold me honda 80w/85w for 2 stroke and 4 stroke trans. Is this OK to use?

where would be the best place to find one threaded hollow core adjuster rod that goes into the top of the carb where a throttle cable goes through? I ahve no idea how else to describe it or what its name is. one if mine is broken

Does anyone know what manufacturer makes my 2 in 1 throttle cable? its steel braided with a clear protective skin over it. The two join to one in what looks like a aluminum shaft about 1" diameter and 4" long. It's on a used banshee I am rebuilding so I have no idea what make. I can't seem to find it on the net either. tors are removed FYI

This bracket is behond the radiator just to the right of the steering stem. Got everyhting put back together except my tank, plastics and exhaust. I doubt it's for any of those items. Bought the bike used w/ many mods. Does anyone know what mounts or used to mount here? see pic

I am at the last stretch of my rebuild. What looks to be vacuum lines tee together near the air cleaner area. One from the back of the motor and one from the side just behind the water pump area. where does the third remaining one go?

How do I identify my stator size? outpot? watts? Is there a mark on it some where? And do I need to pull the flywheel to see that mark?
