  3. sounds like they are almost as good as hid's but with no battery. I like that idea. Did you uograde your stator to a 200?

  6. the wal mart by my house only has the ones shown on my post. guess I'll hit up some other stores if I end up goiung that way. sounds like the onmes I took a pic of have not been used by anyone
  7. when you say DC conversion. what exactly do you mean? do you need to modify the stator as you would if running a battery, and just not running the battery or can I just buy the ones you have and wire right on to stock wiring? I do ride at night and like to have as much light as possible. I would pay more if its a noticable difference. How much were yours? If I have to any stator modifying I might as well do the battery conversion and run hid's

  9. I read a post a while back on being able to use lights from wally mart. I saw two sets that could work. My stock ones are trashed. Does anyone know the ones people are using from the pics shown?
  10. yeah I read the 08 shocks were softer then previous years of the LtR's. but most people I chatted with had not used the 08's. I had a good deal on some 08's but I rolled the dice and bought 07's. I bought the banshee blown up. so I have no idea what he heck its gonna feel like. was there any particular reason you went with the 08's?

    anyone have a straight, new or close to new rear brake rotor? new pads too if you got?

  13. yeah same for me. my banshee arms are long gone. i've heard more positive then negative on the conversion. i would think its better then stock as well. ltr shock coming tomorrow so we'll see. although i have not heard or thought about bad steerring on it. Is your setup installed now? just curious what kind of hassles you had fitting the ltr's on the bike?

  16. to confirm. I need to use grizzly tie rods and grizzly ends as well? The rod itself is 2" longer then the stock banshee one?
  17. just finished my yfz a arm conversion. looking to install ltr shocks. I read that the 2008 ltr shocks are softer then previous years. Has anyone used either? I have a lead on some 08's but don't want to get them if the 2007's are a better ride for this conversion. any help out there on this would be appreciated
  18. Hey weren't you the one that said I could use grizzly tie rods? It's all together minus tie rods and shocks. I have the yfz tie rods but they are still not long enough. I thought they could be used but the ball joint just didn't set down all the way? I am using all YFZ hubs, spindles, brakes.
  19. Did a yfx conversion. I have stock tie rods and yfz tie rods. Both too short. Looking for grizzly tie rods but want to know of they will bolt on snug with zero issues or modifications needed. Or should I go a different route? looking for lowest cost but also don't want crap thats weak. Anyone got any info? or tierods for sale that will fit?
  20. In case anyone has an OSH hardware supply by them. I used these shaft collars. 5/8"x1-1/8"x1/2". just had to shave down the width give or take 1/16". the i.d. is a bit bigger then the inner pivot shaft (if thats what yo call it) by 1/16" or less. The shaft collar has these alan set screws. I used loctite and tightened them down on the pivot collar. It seemed better then letting them sort of float in there. Thought maybe the movment would start t wear oval then inner. Anyway it looks decent and seems pretty solid.

  24. hey thanks guys. This answers my question. I sure appreciate it. Clymer says to final tighten to 20 but you think 22 huh?
