Don't use those lowering kits for the front, just get shorter shocks. Lowering links work decent in the rear.

The seal head design was slightly different [which doesn't matter if it's been rebuilt because the seal head gets tossed], the IFP [internal floating piston] in the reservoir is slightly different, made out of thinner metal, and sometime they tweak a little in there and bind. Lastly off the top of my head, is there is two circlip grooves in the body of the shock. Those grooves are spaced differently in SOME 87-89 shocks [not all, and I have no idea why] which puts the sealing o-ring of the seal head VERY close to the lower circlip groove. Sometimes they leak, sometimes they don't.

Never heard of such a thing. I know you can walk into Off Road Warehouse or any other motorsport place and walk out with as much race gas as you want. I heard something about them trying to do the sanctioned race thing, but I've never actually met anyone who has had a problem purchasing it at all. Last season I'd pull in with a 55gallon drum of VP on the trailer and the rangers never blinked an eye. I'm pretty sure the Texaco in Brawley still sells it at the pump. I think it's F&L.

It won't be memorial day, but we've been talking about coming up this summer.
