  1. If they are made out of the same material as the stock ones, but just longer, I would say they will be prone to bending. I have seen plenty of stock axles bent, and would imagine that adding more leverage would make it more susceptible to bending. If they carry the same warranty as a durablue or g-force, I say go for it, but buy it from a reputable dealer that you know will be around if you should need them in the future.
  2. Bel-Ray makes excellent grease. I use it for everything. Even put it on my tacos some times. Tasty! Most likely it's the linkage or the lower shock bushing. Pull the lower shock bolt out, but leave the top one on, and remove the two spacers from each side of the rod end and smear a little grease on each side of that bushing, and a little inside. Don't over-do it since the grease will attract dirt.
  3. ahhh horse shit. It's item# 270647103701, search for your damn self...
  4. I'd buy a reputable brand like G-Force, or Durablue. Don't mess around and skimp on something like that. Your ass is riding on it!
  5. Your link didn't work. Lemme help you out Ree-Tard. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dllViewItem&item=270647103701&viewitem=-&sspagename=STRK%3AMESELX%3AITT
  6. Mine didn't squeak when I first got it, and two trips after I had it, it started squeaking...
  7. Have no fear. It is your swingarm, and shock linkage. It's normal. Every banshee squaks... Just make sure you grease all of your zirk fittings. I like to use waterproof wheel bearing grease. You can get it at pretty much any place that sells boat trailer stuff... It's usually blue, and awesome.
  8. You bet your ass it is!
  9. 0.01093613298338 - 0.012029746281717999 Fathom. Or, a simpler measurement that I tend to use, 0.0002 - 0.00022 Hectometer.
  10. I think he was suggesting not buying their motor. They are notorious for shitty stuff. I've heard good things about the trinity pipes, though. But something like a Shearer, CPI or Rockets would be killer on a bigger motor like that.
  11. DEFINITELY not having those hose clamps on the carb would cause a high idle. That is a massive air leak, which makes it run very lean, and causes a high idle.
  12. I believe they were used on SV650's, and Yamaha t135's...
  13. Doesn't look like it, GR. On the older style Elkas (Which these are), the rebound adjustment was an "add on" to the standard gold rod ends. You would see it under the spring hat. Also, sheedevil. Some people might be getting scared of the old pics. Some new pictures might be valuable too.
  14. No one's going to buy them without a measurement, that's why I asked...
  15. The OKO floats are the same as the Keihin 28PWK's, I believe. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Keihin-Float-Assembly-PJ-PWK-Carburetor-Carb-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem2c55a9c9bfQQitemZ190415751615QQptZMotorsQ5fATVQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories As far as the high idle. I would be willing to bet you've got an airleak somewhere between the carbs and the cyls. Are you sure all the gaskets are in there? Everything's tight? Also make sure that your throttle cables are seated down in the carb tops all the way, and that your slides are coming all the way down. Sometimes when you move them around, which you did to install the reeds.
  16. Nah, people don't get pissy. We do it all the time in the shoutbox. Before you say anything though, scour the feedback forum for their feedback. That doesn't necessarily mean you will have a 100% positive experience, but it's better than nothing. Also, I agree with you. As I said before, I sent a message to a moderator to check this guy out. I don't know if anything was done or not, but it immediately threw up a red flag for me, when I had seen 100% of his posts were in the for sale section.
  17. Anyone else see it?
  18. I believe the stator and CDI plugs are different.
  19. No rush. I was just suggesting that you might want to post the length.
  20. What's the measurement eye to eye?
  21. Oh, that sucks. Hopefully the FMF fatty's that JD is getting, aren't the ones pictured in your photobucket. Those things were pretty foul, man. Anyways, it's a shame that kinda stuff goes on, but I guess everyone will just have to move on.
  22. Didn't you just sell them? Wouldn't the guy understand what's going on?
  23. Sounds pretty fair, just give everything back. Seems like JD is going to bite the bullet and pay for quite a bit of shipping... I think that would remedy the situation quite well... Everyone just give the shit back, and then it will be as if the deal never happened. Sound good?
  24. Sure thing. I'll keep "watching" this thread for the pics.
