  1. Lol. And I'm sure we got the parts from the same company too.
  2. Just think of it this way, $400-500 on a new crank now or $2000+ on another motor later.
  3. I had the same exact problem as DDU when I put my crank in. Brand new out of the box the crank hit the front of the top case and I had to clearance the case to fit. (I didn't think it was to much of a problem as I figured it was just my cases for whatever reason.) Also the crank was very close on one side of the case, just like DDU's. And it has this now what seems to be notorious 29l/r rod on it. Well guess what, the rod broke and destroyed my whole motor. brand new in box now a big ass paperweight I was thinking it was just my luck that it snapped on me but after reading about all of this rod failure lately its obviously not just a "shit happens" kind of deal. Somebody should own up to these fuck ups. I know I ended up spending a shit load more money to build a new motor because of this problem.
  4. I was wondering if someone knows of a place to get what seems to be a special size pivot bearing. I ordered a new set and went to put them in but the o.d. is slightly smaller then the old bearings and the new ones just slide in and out of the arm. The I.d. of the new bearing is correct but that is all. I don't have calipers at home so I can not measure the size of the new bearing at the moment but I do know the old bearing is measuring out to 29mm o.d. So any help here would be great as I am needing these within about a week tops. Thanks
  5. he got damn lucky that was the only damage. that will be an easy fix for sure. and tell your friend not to cheap out and just save up some money till he can get another correct crank
  6. that kick starter is legit
  7. I had an 05 ram hemi with 100,000 on the clock and not a single problem. I could go on and on about fords and chevys and even dodges that I know of that have had problems. You will find some turds in any group of vehicles. That's life
  8. my tailgate closes on my shortbed dodge and i have a +8 swinger on the quad, so that should not be a problem
  9. Same here.
  10. Not really sure of the prices but hopefully im in the ballpark I have a stock crank in good shape, all good bearings, just needs a new home $150obo Stock complete rear swingarm with dogbone and shock has all good pivot bearings and good bearings in in the carrier $150obo Stock milled head not the best looking on the inside but of one cylinder was apparently a victim to some detonation damage but i ran it for about a year and it worked awesome just like it should. Gave me 120psi at 4000' $20 I also have some stock cylinders not sure of bore size but they have been ported. Don't know anything about the porting but they will be coming off of a running bike. Will also come with pistons but could probably use a bore job. no pictures of these at this time due to they are still on said running bike. $150obo Can get more pics, any questions just ask
  11. Shit if that's 80 I have to be pushing 100-110. Nice. Ridiculous #'s right there. I agree with ddu
  12. high 12's low 13's. really shit. at first my mpg jumped up to around 14 when i put the intake on but it dropped right back down after maybe a month. but it seemed like thats what happened when i did all of these upgrades. not sure whats up with that. really just pisses me off
  13. i have an 05 hemi ram with intake, exhaust, and hypertech programmer. to be honest i did notice a small difference in power but nothing huge. ( i would not pay full price for a hypertech again thats for sure) no better fuel mileage that i noticed but i do drive hills constantly, so your outcome could be different. overall i like the additions but nothing has been all that impressive.
  14. Whats wrong with a brain bucket and sunglasses???
  15. after all of this talk about overrides, who else cuts good ones? and what about price wise from each said builder? reason i ask is i am planning on getting one soon and just want to know who all is out there to possibly buy from. thanks
  16. you are correct there are holes in the slides down there. And they should be uncovered

  19. I plan on being there Thursday afternoonish and pulling out Monday morning. Look for the bike in my sig except longer, no fenders and no stickers. I will be around any drags
  20. The stockers work But not to the motors potential. It is a big difference going with bigger carbs on That motor.
  21. mine= porting on my cub chrome my swingarm paint or powdercoat my frame slingshot lockup new clutch 1-5 n-down duneable override i hate being my own santa
  22. i know what you mean but i was just trying to say that it did not matter that all the guy had was a stock swingarm, because swingarm length does not mean the bike is slow. thats all
  23. that doesnt mean much. hell i ran my 421 cub on a stock swingarm for a minute and walked on all sorts of people
  24. go wherever u want, but the hill is long and a good ride. but pending on the weekend the bottom of the hill can get whooped out. nothing unusual or hard about riding it though
