Selling any parts of engine. Whole thing? Top/bottom end?
-
The clutch basket shouldn't move in and out if that's what your trying to say. Look online or get a clymers make sure you put all the washers and such in place. Sounds like you may have missed one. Haven't ha mine apart in a while but I think there is one behind and in front of basket.

So I just got this basketcase banshee. I got some ported cylinders for it and when I went to take the cylinder out of the box I dropped it. Where the sleeve extends past the jug I took a chunk out of the sleeve right I'm the middle about half the size of a dime. Is this still usable? I'm not sure if the piston travels that far down or not. Either way it pissed me off. Thanks guys.

I got a 98 banshee and I need the front bushings on the shocks where it connects to a arms. I have works shocks so I was wondering if just the regular bushing would work from my local dealer.

I live in Canonsburg la which is like 30 minutes south of Pittsburgh. I just picked up a banshee and wondering if there is anywhere near me to ride at. Anyone know or wanna ride.

i used scotch brite pad and engine enamel worked great

I used yamabond from my local atv store. Threebond is also good. Not sure if autozone would carry the right stuff.

Another problem (just doesnt stop)

Is it possible this is because it's a new clutch and needs worked in a little bit. -

So I went and played around with the banshee a little bit. Nothing completed. I moved the pressure plate all around. I did soak plates for like a day. It seems no matter what the clutch won't work. I only took out the mechanism ball and rod and replaced how it said. It's just stiff and the sprocket still moves no matter what. Gettin highly frustrated here. I just wanna ride -

Oh sorry I wasn't freaking out or anything just saying no. I counted them when I out them in cause it was a new clutch kit. I even got the stock springs back in -

toddyfresh replied to toddyfresh's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
No because i replaced the basket and gears too. i believe it was 7 and six started and ended with friction -
So I got everything together and adjusted my clutch cable and the cable seemed tight.. Unhooked and lub cable but cable is good.. The shifter mechanism is tight but it does pull the pressure plate out and i tried adjusting it.. The problem is I pushed the kicker down with my hand and with the clutch engaged the sprocket started to turn (i have chain off).. I put it in gear and try to turn sprocket with clutch in and sprocket doesnt move.. So I am assuming my clutch doesnt work for some reason.. I had the case split and put back together right followed clymers manual.. lubed rod and ball when i put in too.. Anybody have any insight Im ready to burn this thing..
