i just picked up an 08 trx 450 electric start. the suspension is adjustable. i love these bikes. honda has won the baja 1000 with these bikes, the crf45o too. ive been told that all they do is pipe them, cam them and suspension. no other company has been able to beat honda on reliability for these distance races. all i did to mine was gut the stock exhaust plug, remove the airbox lid, raise the stock main jet from 122 to 172, lower the front sprocket one tooth, and cut the green wire on the wire harness which releases 1000 more rpm and adds alittle timing to the top end. these bikes are cool. they wheelie easily and are loads of fun. enjoy it. one tank will take you extremely far in the dunes. the trxs that i have seen with hi-comp, stroker cranks, full system exhausts, ported heads, blah, blah, blah are not reliable at all. drag a banshee if you pick up another one. enjoy the 91 octane slurping honda for what it is. keep it reliable and ride the shit out of it. hope this helps.

in vegas its hard to sell a bike with alot of go fast parts on it. you know that whoever had it before beat the crap out of it drag racing and riding it hard. i get more money for a used stock looking bike than one thats all hyped up. ive seen some really nice bikes go cheap here because they have been tampered with. you make more money here parting a bike out than selling it complete,

ill be out there with a bunch of friends. vegasjeff is one of them and we are trying to get belicose to go too. i should get there saturday morning. we usually park near bathroom 8 i think, not sure. i might stay till sunday.

me and vegasjeff and a few other jerks are going to amargosa saturday. sadly, we are not taking the banshee's because they are still in pieces receiving upgrades. we'll be riding our four poke bikes instead. there should be about ten of us out there. hope to see you out there

dont knock apex. thats the motherland. because of the harsh terrain, sandy areas, large rocks, and huge whoops apex has produced many a great rider. plus its in our backyard. sandqueens dont like apex. i love apex. ive been to logandale but its boring. its just flat and no fun. apex has areas that will kill you if youre not careful, thats the fun of it.

i left him a message on wednesday and he called me back thursday morning. i went ahead and ordered some carbs and he said that they are really busy catching up with motor work and porting.

thanks for the input. i went ahead and threw on some drag pipes. the t5s wouldnt clear the big intake filters. vegasjeff and belicose are helping me. those two psychos put in alot of work saturday. i upgraded to a 421 cub now but we are having problems with where to start the jetting on my 34mm pj's. we tried it out yesterday. that transmission is shifting like butter!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i think vegasjeff started a thread on it maybe you can shed alittle light on the subject. i think vegasjeff is going to contact you soon for a tranny too. ttyl man. dont be mean. haha

Use Photobucket or Imageshack to host the pictures, then you can resize them to fit the format you prefer. Cut and paste the link. That is how I do it anyway.

special thanks to dajogejr for his help in finding a duneable override transmission for me in a timely manner and at an incredible price. i suggest that if your thinking of upgrading to one of these units you should contact him. not only the peace of mind of having one of these trannys will convince you to upgrade, but the price will too. thank you dajogejr and im very happy with all of the members and help i have received from the HQ.

ive tried to use the search function for an answer to my question. just trying to find out up to what size motor will the t5's handle and perform well with. all i keep getting on the search function is people selling or wanting t5's. how should i phrase my question into the search function or can anyone just answer my question. i know ill probably get yelled at by some of you mean members, but thats okay, we're not face to face so no one can see me cry. lol.
