  1. You could repair the thread with jb weld and redrill it. Jb weld is cheaper than new carbs.
  2. Wish I could go, gotta work. Do they any good trails to ride and what is the normal fee to ride? Hard Rock MX is having a free ride day June 19th http://www.hardrockmx.com/FathersDay.pdf they will be having their first race on the new Drag strip dirt drags MX Flat Track hill climbs freestyle www.hardrockmx.com 352-732-6697
  3. Florida motoplex in madison florida is having a race this sat morning at 10. Trails are open all day. Great place to ride with plentÝ of trails and 3 different motocross tracks. Rode there last weekend and thought that it was an awesome place to ride. They are having a sxs race as well as atv races. Best riding spot in North Florida. You can see some of the track and trails by watching youtube videos posted bÝ rzrridinfool
  4. I went riding in a fairly wet area the other weekend and sometimes when I splashed through a water crossing my throttle would stick. I could quickly blip the throttle and it would idle back down. I have done a leakdown test and found no leaks. I never went through any water deeper than my footpegs. I have a stock carbs no torrs, airbox with no lid and a pro design air filter with adapter. What is causing this and what should I do? I am currently looking for a stock airbox lid, do you think that this would help?
  5. Could be a bent braket that your caliper rides on. I got my calipers off a 450 and had the same problem. Got to investigating and fount that when the caliper applied it would rock just a little bit and cause be to have spongy lever. Quick fix in the vise with a hammer and now I can almost stand it up on the front tires. 450 brakes are awesome, get rid of the banshee calipers!
  6. Anybody ever tried this, I want to know if its worth doing it or just save for bigger carbs.
  7. The clutch will usually slip more in high gears than the lower ones.
  8. What kind of performance gains can I expect from this? I mostly trail ride and have FMF fatty's, 100. over vito's power pistons(150 compression),+4 degree timing and a redneck clean up port job(done by previous owner). I run a prodesign filter in the air box with no lid. How would this compare to getting a set of 28s? Would this increase the bottom end or top end power more?
  9. What do you have to do to bore stock carbs? Do you need to get new slides or will the stock ones work? Anyone ever tried it? How far can you bore them?
  10. Do I need to run a battery for this? From what I can tell the endurance does not have permanent Hour meter.
  11. What is the advantage of the Vapor over the endurance? Just looks or is the vapor better?
  12. I had the same problem. I split the case and then used a 20 ton press to get it apart. trashed the flywheel and mushroomed the end of the crank. Managed to reuse the stator and timing plate.
  13. Sounds like there might not be enough chamfer on the ports and caused rings to catch.
  14. Anyone ever used one? thinking about trying for a mostly stock bike for the trails? How would this compare to FMF Fatty's
  15. I don't know what has to be done toban this guy but somebody needs to get it done asap! This is a 15 year old dirt bag that does not need to be on here!
  16. What do you guys think a basket case banshee 2002 would be worth? Has bad crank and has jugs off but has not split the case. No plastics No title. clean vin
  17. might find the creak by spraying subject areas with WD-40 and seeing when it quits
  18. If you are having heat problems then you probably need to jet it richer. I ride trails all day in 100+ heat with hig humidity and I never get over 205. Most of the time I can stay around 180 and ride as hard as I want to. I have a stockhead and don't have any problems.
  19. You should also consider putting a little blue loc tight on the idle screws. I have had one rattle out and sieze a motor before! Mine have blue loc tight and are wire tied so I know this cannot happen again!
  20. Look for stock car tracks in your area, most tracks have pumps in the pits that sell race fuel.
  21. I have the Vitos 100 over and I would have to say that they are very good pistons. I had one of my idle screw fall out and seized the motor in 6th gear revved out. Popped the clutch and broke the motor free and then drove it 3+ miles home. Reringed and honed it and I still have 155 compression. Pistons looked great.
