I'll have to check with Brandon to see which one we ended up slapping in my bike but I'm pretty sure it was one of these 2. 10 mil with hot rods rods put on it. Its had 100+ gallons of alcohol ran through it and a destroyed piston. It was still holding when I found the welds on the crank broke. I'm going to send it off to have everything checked and maybe some new bearings put in, then its going back in.

Gotcha, if im stuck in california long enough and find the money maybe I will buy a second set of tires and a longer arm to switch between for hill shooting and racing here. Thanks for the suggestions I'll drop down to either a 14-41 or 14-43 depending on what I have in the trailer and give that a go when I can get out to pismo. John I've never ran a 300 ft so I'm shooting blind but I'll do some searching if I'm able to get a second setup.

2nd gear launch, 10 over arm. I figured I could use more paddle, those 11 paddles work great back home but getting a new set isnt on the table at the moment.

I'm running a wildcard 10 mil on alcohol, 11 paddle 72ish rollout haulers, 2-5 override. I intend to get out to Pismo one of these days. I'm coming from sm nv and I dont know if I should be looking at gearing up because Pismo isn't a real hill, or gearing down because the hill is shorter and I won't have time to wind out the gears. I'll have to double check next time I'm out at the trailer but I think I'm at 15-41 gearing for Nevada.

No they came with heims new, If i remember right they are 1/2 inch heims. Dont know the part number on them but I can take a look at them next time I run out to the truck.

I bought these brand new a few years back bolted them onto my hillshooter. They were spray painted black, I'm cleaning them up but they arent perfect. Were are you located? I have a set of smooth buff fronts not perfect and they do leak air but if you air them up pretty good they have always got me thorugh our 3-4 day trips. If your interested I can get some photos either tonight or tomorrow.

For anyone who has had a stock cylinder bike out there, do 158 mains sound like a reasonable starting point? 4 mil, 35mm pwks, t5s, and maybe a dune port inside.

Indeed, I don't think I would have ran with them at this point. I still have a good bit of money to spend before the bike is done and a lot of learning to tune but running with them was the end goal.

I was actually talking to my buddy back home last night, he ran into them out there a week or two ago.

Thats a bummer lol I built my bike to run with her and sunni and I never got a chance too. Good to know at least someone is still getting out there, I have a new bike to test out, suppose to be a 4 mil but the guy didn't know a thing past that. Someone put some love into it tho.
