Oh boy!!!! Well you might skip shift and bog down so you will def know if your missing a gear....Or if that gear needs to be in there to keep the spacinng on the shafts correct you might be in trouble!
I do believe that you need to purchase the clip separately. Luckily I had mine but im still waiting on the local dealership for some other odds and ends so good luck with all that!
Circlip on one side, O-ring on the other. Thats how mine is. If your looking in the bottom case with crank away from you (tranny in front of your stomach) the circlip goes on the right side I do believe
Yeah when i got my shee only one cylinder had the plug. Then I pulled the other one when I had all the powder coating done. Anybody know someone with a set?
Might sound like a dumb question but from what i was told no question is dumb lol so here it goes....
The rubber plugs in the bottom of the cylinders. Are they needed or not? The gasket dosent have a hole that matches.......I think the hole is strictly for the casting when they make the jugg. Can I continue my build without these plugs? Waiting on the dealership and they are taking forever!!!!!!
Well yamaha seems to like to take there time on getting parts to their dealerships. Anybody got the rubber plugs that go in the bottom of the cylinders??? Thanks and let me know!
I liked mine they installed great. Just wish i had my parts from the dealer... Any body got the rubber plugs that go in the bottom of the cylinders? Pm me if you got em!!!
Yea moneys getting a little tight. Im gonna make my own tie rods. Prob keep the banshee spindels until i come across a deal. Thanks for clearing this up for me fellas!
I need some serious clarification......I just installed yfz 450 a arms with 450r shocks. Can I run banshee spindels? Tie rods? What is the travel distance difference between the banshee spindels and the yfz spindels with the "r" shock and how does this work. I can make some plus two tie rods at the shop if needed. Any help would be great guys!!!
Im in the same boat! Do I need yfz spindels because I just installed my yfz 450 a arms. Do i need the yfz tie rods with banshee spindels? Im also running the yfz 450r shocks with the piggy backs??? Any help would be great!
yea im just gonna stick to the simple bolt on's for now. Man you guys are great on feedback on here. I was down damn right impressed! Keep up the good work guys! Just got my yfz a-arms and 450r shocks so i got some mods to do. I will put up some pics later tonight!
Very true! Its coming along nice! I should be able to put the top end on sometime this week and have it in the quad by the weekend. The polished bolt kit i had bought looks sweet with all the fresh powder coat! I will keep the pics coming!
Yea thats more reasonable. But unfortunately i think im gonna skip the port job for now. I dont mind tearing the top end back off at the end of the season.
So what kind of port should i get? Trail port? Just a smoothie? Dont really want to buy another set of jugs. I just had the ones I have powder coated and they are a fresh bore. I know if I have them ported and burn it down theres no sleeve to bore again. The wesico book my buddy has says you can bore .200 over yeat thats not twenty thou thats two hundred thou. My jugs are at .100 (100) over right now so dont i have a couple bores left? Here is a couple pics!
I want it to be a reliable trail quad and we also go to silver lake sand dunes like 5 times a year. Any suggestions on what port job would be ok? Carb size? Noss head????? is that a cool head? What size domes? Race gas? Thanks and any help would be great. Want to slap the top end on as soon as i find out what im gonna do!!!
