  1. Well my current set up is a 4mil crank/drag port timing/stock cylinders/noss head/stock timing/toomey t5's/33mm pwk's/21cc domes-160psi 50/50 race/pump gas. Right now it runs good with 160 mains and 45 pilots air screw 2 turns out-may be a tad rich on the pilots but i didnt have 42's so i used 45's Tommorow im switching to CPI in frame small bore pipes, and 35mm air strikers. Where should i start my jetting at?
  2. Ring seating isnt the only thing you have to be worried about during a break in. A new piston will expand further and faster with heat than a broken in piston. After a few heat cycles the piston will stabilize a bit and be a lot safer. This is one of the reasons that running heat cycles is important. Your rings wont seat very well over a big score mark. Sure if you just crank it out right off the bat you might get a better ring seal, but you take a bigger risk on expanding the piston and getting to tight and scaring it. Thats why I believe there needs to be a happy medium. .
  3. Thanks guys, ill check the float height. Normaly i would think thats the obvious thing it just threw me off how it wont leak when sitting still
  4. I would say its a little more than a drop or two,but not pouring out by any means
  5. Ok, it has a 4mil crank, ported jugs, noss head,t5's and 33mm pwk's,stock timing,160psi,running 1/2 turbo blue 1/2 93 pump gas. With the quad off i can leave the gas turned on all day and it wont leak a drop. Well if i start it and ride it,gas will drip out of both carbs from the bottom over flow.Doesnt seem to be a whole lot at all, just drips. The reason i noticed Is because i dont have the vent hoses on and it will leak onto the top of the cases,so whenever i stop there is always a little gas moisture on it. If i ride really hard for a few and then stop and look under there, you can see where it has dripped out,and maybe see a drop or so hanging off the vent outlet. Is this normal? I figured maybe fuel just splashing around could do it,but im not sure. what do you guys think?
  6. If the tors is dissconnected is is not likely the source of your idling problem There is an idle adjuster on top of the tors, give them half a turn a piece and see if that helps. Make sure your air screws are set properly. Theres literaly like 20 things that can cause it not to idle.
  7. Our 91 banshee still has the stock carbs, keep em clean and adjusted properly and they are fine.
  8. The only way to be sure its right is to take them to a good machinist or someone that bores cylinders, and have them check it out. Unless your really sure on how to measure them i would not chance it.
  9. Plugs can be fouled and still sort of work. I would change the plugs before i did anything else/
  10. It could be a number of things. did you put the carb slides in backwards? The left slide will fit into the right carb backwarsds and vice versa Check all your electrical connections/check your plugs. I even had my parking brake mess up and the elctrical connection was bad and it wouldnt let it rev The guy before me removed the brake and connected the wires and they came undone Make sure you have spark on both plugs.. Just make your self a list of things and go down it one by one. Could even be sour gas.
  11. I got my powerband at walmart http://media.photobucket.com/image/powerba...1/powerband.jpg
  12. Eh well their widow maker isnt much of a widowmaker. Theres like 5 hills right next to eachother 3 or 4 of them are failry difficult, and the one all the way to the left i have never seen ANYONE make it up not even on a dirtbike. Its pretty nasty. I have made it up the easier ones on a stock 400ex. So they cant be that bad but definitely a lot of fun. I dont know if you would want to go up the main one or not with a -2. Front end gets pretty light with stock length. but hey you can watch my fat ass crash down it lol

  16. Wow it does look pink in that picture but i assure you it is not pink it is the anodized red. My cam kinda sucks, but i took another pic with it next to something pink,so you can see it is red. In real life it is red as can be,not even a hint of pink. Yes it is for the stock cylinders and stock studs, you will need domes from vitos
  17. Just put my vitos hemi head 2 up for sale. Does not come with domes but comes with acorn bolts washers and o-ring kit. All BRAND NEW! 150$ plus 10 bucks shipping. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...em=120422686899 I will end the auction early for anyone that would prefer not to use ebay.
