  1. I just emailed chariot racing and they said the prodesign uses those 10 small orings, not the chariot. Cant believe they responded to my question at 11:30pm. I figured they would be closed till tomorrow.
  2. Where do the 2 smallest orings on a chariot cool head go?
  3. I have an 84 air cooled atc 250r and was looking for a good starting point on jetting. It has a 34mm flatside mikuni, bored .80 over, very aggressive porting, DG pipe at sea level. Not very familiar with mikunis so i was looking for a good starting point on jets. Any help would be appreciated.

  6. I have not had a chance to break the tire down yet but it is leaking almost all the way around on one side of the tire. It looks like someone tried to use some kind glue or something. I just figured it might be easier to go ahead and put a tube in it. The tires and rims are in good shape and i got them dirt cheap so i dont really mind if i have to put a tube in.
  7. I bought a used set of prowedges to try out and it seems one is leaking around the edges of the rim. Is it better to put inner tubes in them and if so what size tubes would i use. For the people running the prowedges, What kind of tire pressure are you running?
  8. What length exhaust springs do i need for cpi inframes? I used some that were to short and they came off.

Last night i took my banshee to a small 300ft drag we have and at first it was running great but later that night it started bogging off the line when i would take off in 2nd which it has never done and a couple races after that it started bogging at about the 250ft mark. It will take off fine in 1st gear but bog on the top end. I have always been able to leave the line in 2nd. The track was hooking really good so i thought that was the problem so i tried it this morning on a loose gravel road and it still wont leave in 2nd. Any help would be appreciated!!!

  12. We have been doing some 300ft drags here lately but dont have a timing device. I was running a 16-41 gearing and i thought it was to high. I tried 15-41 but it seems to turn up to quick and shifting to quick. I havent timed it but it seems to run better with 16-41 against people i have raced. With the 16-41 it seems to let me pull the gear longer and actually leaves the line better. I am running some 20" new duro hook-ups for tires and they do pretty good. Do you have any suggestions to make it run better as in how it is set up. It is a 4 mil motor light porting, 30mm carbs +4 timing, Cpi inframe sand 165lb compression. Right now it is lowered with a lowering kit front and back and i can leave the line really good with it
  13. My problem turned out being a wire on the coil was making a bad connection. My 155s were good on the fattys, I had them checked on a dyno
  14. Well you hit the nail on the head. I went to take the coil off to check it i noticed that the wires were very loose on the coil The orange wire almost fell off of the connector when i touched it. Took some pliers and tightend up the connectors, put them back on and it ran perfect. I really hope this is all the problem turns out to be. Since the problem started after changing pipes, i really thought it was in the jetting. I guess i changed all those jets for nothing but al least it turned out to be a quick fix. Thanks for all the help guys.
  15. I tried the 158s this morning and it did the exact same thing. I am starting to think it is electrical. Is there anything else that would cause this. It starts missing and sputtering as soon as it gets on the pipe and the higher the rpm gets the worse it gets.

  18. I just changed from fatty to some cpi inframes. I have 30mm carbs. I changed the main jets from 155 to 160s. Now when it gets into the powerband it starts to sputter or miss. Its not backfiring, just seems to sputter and not pull that good in higher rpm. Runs great at lower rpm and has good throttle response. Any suggestions???
  19. I tried the 160 mains on the cpis but now when im in the upper rpms it has a sputter but it is much more responsive on the low end than it was with the fattys. Do you think i need to go bigger on the main jet????
