  1. Do these come with throttle cable or filters.
  2. What problems will I have if I dont run the override transmission.
  3. Whithout a port job what would I see for numbers. Also by race gas I am going to be using 110 octane. I already bought a set of 34mm Mikuni carbs so I guess I will run those for now.
  4. I am planning on building a 4mil Cub engine. I am going to list the parts I plan on running with the bike and let me know if this is a good setup or if I should change somethings around. The bike is going to be run for sand drags and dunes. Also will the cub cylinders require any port work or will they run the 4mil setup out of the box. Also do you recommend changing any bearing on the crank before installing. I am looking for a bike that will run around 90hp on gas and hoping this setup can make it happen. All new parts -68mm Cub Cylinders -Wiseco 4mil long rod 115 crank -68mm Wiseco pistons -Coolhead 20cc Domes cut -Mikuni 34mm Carbs -CPI inframe drag pipes -Fast clutch
  5. Does anyone have an opinion on these 4mm Stroker kits. Are they worth a darn? Do the come with everything needed to build a 4mm Stroker engine. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/yamaha-banshee-complete-engine-rebuild-kit-4MM-STOKER-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem483ab3d5eeQQitemZ310222509550QQptZMotorsQ5fATVQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Yamaha-Banshee-4mm-Stroker-Engine-Kit-Hotrods-Wiseco-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem2ead4206dcQQitemZ200475281116QQptZMotorsQ5fATVQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories or If there is anyone on here that sells 4mm Kits shoot me a PM and let me know.
  6. No the bearing that attaches the rod to crank.
  7. I had my bike rebuilt last fall. I had the cylinders ported, cases port matched, crank trued and welded and topend rebuilt. I ran two tanks of gas for the brake in and then have ran 3 more tanks of fuel in it. I have it jetted just a little rich. I was riding along and the left piston exploded. Stop the bike instantly tow it back to the truck. I have metal shavings in the pipe, cylinder and in the cases. It is all taken apart and I find that my rod bearing have alot of play to them and think that is what caused the failure. When you rebuild your engine do you usually put in new rod bearing. My builder said he doesn't if the old ones look good. I am going to rebuild the engine and need to know what all I should look at replacing and where is the best place to buy the parts.
  8. I plan on stretching it out a bit and adding some solid steel core in the top and bottom of the frame for extra support. Something like cut frame, drill support holes, slide in solid core and then weld the solid core to the frame where the holes are. Should make it very sturdy. I want it to be a factory looking setup, not a junked up mess. It will take all winter long if it has to. I will be in contact with the ones that have done it. I would put a banshee motor in but I have two banshee's with banshee motors. So I am ready for something different.
  9. I am looking at putting a fuel injected street bike engine into a Banshee. I have a rolling chassis waiting for wrecked bike. I am going to put in a R6 engine. I am looking for some builds or some pics that I could use as reference. Someone point me in the right direction. Also just to let you know this will be a straight line bike for duning and racing. No jumping and no trails.
  10. best discussion I have read on this board with out turning into a pissing contest. I saw some good points both ways.
  11. Nobody has a good idea for gearing for sand drags.
  12. I am looking to get the right gearing for my setup and don't know alot about gearing. I have a Dune/Play port, pipes, filters, advanced timing and the basic bolt on modifications. I am currently running 21x10x8 8 paddle haulers on the rear. I do mostly drag racing and some trail/dune riding. I am looking for gearing that is going to give me the optimum performance in a 300' or slightly longer sand drag race. My gearing is currently stock. Thanks for the help.
  13. I am adding some pics. This is on the right side. I hope I didn't put them on backwards. I bought a banshee that these came on so I switched them out onto my bike. I thought I was doing the smart thing by taking off the a-arm and putting it right onto my bike so I wouldn't mix them up. Now I am thinking what if someone else put them on backwards.
  14. I just installed a set of lonestar +2 a arms. I can tell that is has pushed the front tires forward about two or three inches. Is this normal or did I do something wrong. Thanks.
  15. I found a good deal on a banshee that I want to pick up. He says it is a 1999 but I am not sure. It has a silver frame with white and teal plastics. Also it has white headlight housings. Anyone know if this color came out in a specific year. I dont have access to the vin at this point. Thanks
  16. Looking good so far. I am really thinking of the ss112's. I think they would look good on my black 2004 LE.
  17. I am wanting to add some different rims to my banshee, something like the SS112. I know they weigh alot and aren't going to help with the speed thing, but I want it to look good too. Thanks.
  18. I will check both things. Thanks for the help. Will advise on my findings
  19. I just got my new motor broken in and have been seeing an increase of black fluid coming from my jugs where they meet my head pipes. Any ideas would be great. Thanks
  20. Trinity Stage 4 pipes. I need these out of the house. $325 plus shipping. Picture isn't the best but it is all I have right now. Thanks
  21. Talk to JD customs. that is where I got the grill.
  22. I am going to be selling them. I will let you when I get my others on.
