  1. ok im a dummy, what is jugs? and y would i have to change pipes? im thinking about runnig with my air box lid off, just gonna wait till the summer to do so, alot of snow now!!!!
  2. she start 1-3 kicks, lots of pressure on the kick, i will look around to see if i can get a professional comprssion test done
  3. i just re compression tested my bike and she is 90 on both cylinders, she 04 and engine has never been touched, she still hauls ass like crazy!!!! so im wondering what would be the gain if a fresh top end? and what is the break in process after rebuilding? i am at sea level basicaly, LET ME NOW WHAT YA THINKS BY!!!!!!!!! HAHA
  4. i am going to be doing alot of drag or racing on pavement in general, plus alot of trail riding which is 4 gear the highest...not sure what you guys mean about porting the chambers, but is this essentail? nobody can do porting where i live!! whats the smallest i should bore, just to freshen it up?, whats the best pistons to match? im looking for top end power mostly, just want her to scream!!!!!!i got vf3 comming, boost bottle, i didnt know they were bogus when i ordered, sst pipes, i like the idea of bigger carbs? and those pods are they the best method of intake? i know alot of questions but i have zero help here!!
  5. i was thinking about milling the stock head or getting that cool head w/domes, can u mill the cool head the same as you would a stock head, or is that the point of the changable domes?also how will boring out and new lite wieght weisco pistons help out???
  6. what are "pods?, and man when i pulled my plugs they were a dark color, thats with the lid, so does this mean shes running rich?

  8. ill try to get a pic later on tonight of the tip, my bike is 04 she has fmf gold series sst pipes powercore 2 silencers, k and n filter, i got vf3 reeds comming with boost bottle and amr stage 3 rev box...shes been jetted, has 1/4 reed spacers, other than that shes all stock...
  9. i have a k and n filter, i have never jetted before, is it the very bottom of the plug that u check to see if its rich or lean, mine had a dark oily fluid on the bottom of the spark plugs....this is with lid on, i have sst pipes and shes already jetted, i have vf3 reeds on the way with boost bottle and amr stage 3 cdi, how will these add ons affect the jetting?

  11. i removed both spark plugs, its a star products tu-3 universal compression tester, i held the throttle wide open, she hit exactly 90 on both cylinders, im basically at sea level,maybe 50ft up ahha, the bike hauls ass still, i just yesterday i ran faster than a outlaw 525 piped and jetted and she was 09, just wondering if a fresh top end would make her faster? or "if it aint broke dont fix it".....also how much should i get her bored out, what pistons? is there anything else that i would have to change to compensate with the new hp? thanks !!
  12. hello i just got a 04 banshee, i did a compression test, it has 95 on both cylinders, engine has neverbeen redone, should i tamper with it or is it fine?
  13. i got a stock air box, want to try it with out the lid, will it give more power? do i have to re jet?
  14. what do u mean stroke them? i know little about this stuff ahah just love to go fast!!....whats the best way to get more hp? im willing to dump around 2 g on the bike
  15. haha well that was 800 canadian dollars, so i guess like 500 - 600 american, but it comes with the manifolds and 2 k and n filters w/ outwears, i was tempted to get it. i was thinking about big bore later down the road, i guess i figured i could run the pair of 35mm pwk carbs until i got the engine done up? would that work? and what do u recomend for a big bore, or i was thinking about getting the stock engine bored out and get light weight pistons, whats a good thing to do to make her BOOGIE!!!
  16. hey guys, im new to banshee hq, not sure how to post even ahah i hope this works!!.. i was also wondering about upgrading my carbs, i can get 2 35mm keihin carbs,with manifolds, k and n fliters with outwearers, for about $800, i have no engine mods, just all the bolt ons basically, will this work for me? will it give more hp? thanks
