hello, im at sealevel, got sst pipes, vf3, and k and n clamp ons no air box, im running 290 mains now, what do u recommend? oh the k and n clamp ons is the new mod, so that why i was asking...i was going to order 320 and 330?

hello, my mods are sst pipes, vf3, k&n filter with out lid, im running 290 mains, 30 pilots, im at sealevel, does this sound right to anyone or wrong ahha, the bike is running excellent no bogging! I was running with lid on up until a day ago, did a plug chop, and there was a darkesh brown ring on the porceline on the base, i figured she was running a little rich. SO i decided to try with lid off...did a plug chop, still brown rings but a little lighter brown... WHAT YA THINK?

hello i was thinking about getting some port work done, the guy recomended shearer inframes as the best pipes...triple chrome 2 pipes for 600? how does that price seem? brand new of course

hah i know man its brutal isnt it!!!! i live on an island called newfoundland, its apart of canada...i swear to god if i could move to the states id bring my bike and camp out in the dunes forever ahhah!!!! i ordered vf3 reeds, it took 2 months to get here...its almost depressing, i need a new front and back sprocket and the yamahas here dont have any...most ppl just have 4x4s, i cant even get a freakin outwearer!!!! i gonna get my mom to nit me one soon ahahaha

yah i got pipes, k& n with lid, ( although im gonna cut the lid off just by the first snaps, so i can run both with lid and without), and vf3 im gonna try to buy some jets tomorrow, but i have to drive 3 1/2 hours to get to town! and even when i get there its still a maybe as to if they have them. other wise ill have to wait 2 weeks and order them in.... im gonna have to start drinking more beers to pass the time away lol and thanks alot for your help too man !!! much appreciated

i just cut the plugs and there is 2 small very light brown rings on the base of the porcelain i cant get any pics cause my digital camera is crap but the carbs are stock mukini's and i have 260 mains in them now

i dont have a wrench big enough to tighten them ill have to wait till tomorrow and go on the hunt for one!! thanks

i didnt put them in myself, but i watched the "well quailfied" yamaha mechanic do it...i cant rag on them too bad, because i had run the bearing so bad that they had fused onto the axel and the rear sprocket was wearing at the rear end...but they removed the axel with a sledge hammer, and im sure they were the shittiest of quality bearings....the right side of my axel may be bent slightly, i noticed a wobble in the right rear..all the same i might go up to yamaha and ask them for new bearings on the HOUSE!!!

i did everything just as you said, i havent sawed to check the porcelain at the base yet... i didnt even bother because i thought that a big sign of lean or rich jetting was on the very bottom of the plug...this was very silver, with very little dark areas, 90% no color, so i figured that she was lean...but i will cut away the threads and check for that 2mm brown ring.... also the side electrode was burned all the way to bottom of the plug on both, not sure what that means..?

just did a plug check, and the bike is running lean, i cant get new mains until about 2 weeks, can i still drive the bike, or will i damage the engine? the base ring on the plugs had basically zero color, looked new, and the side electrode was burnt almost white, right to the base ring.

about a month ago i had new axel bearings put in, and it seems like in no time the rear has some play in it!! when i pick up the bike and wiggle there is a knocking and i can see some space on the right side of the axel, by the brakes...is less than a month typical wear time for bearings? or should i go back up to yamaha and THROW SOME BOWS!!! hahaha thebearing were SHOT the last time and fused on to the axel, i want to change them myself this time, before it gets too bad.. any tips to extended bearing life? typically im riding 2 hours a day, so shes not building up any dust, and im on pavement a nice bit, i guess thats y ehhhhh???

haha yah i want to run pods, but its still snowy here, and i bes riding in mud and bog with alot of water and dirt getting in the box, so i cant do it until the summer oh and its around freezing temp here, 0 degrees celsius, whats that like 23 degress farinheiht? -
hello, wondering what size jets to use for basically sea level, or about 100ft above or so, i got sst pipes, powercore 2, vf3, must fun with air box with lid, not sure whats in her now, bought the bike and owner cant remember whats in her?
