i have never jetted before, and i dont even know what size mains are in it!! i bought the bike 3 months ago and the dude dont remember whats in her. when i start the bike she has visible smoke, but once running nothing visible comming out!!! -
perhaps i got the name of the plug wrong, i was in a rush just glanced , but i asked for more spark because i was getting an aftermarket cdi, amr stage 3 rev box, could have been a waste of money but its working well none the less. what is the adv/dis adv of the colder , warmer plugs?i paid about 10dollars for each

i went to yamaha and said i wanted a highperformance spark plug, and they gave me a br9ecs, i think its titanium maybe, i donno, any opinions on this plug? bike has been working excellent, but ive heard that most ppl are using br8es, whats the difference?

i got what your saying, i didnt do it right, i just put the plugs in when she was cold and then warmed her up and went full throttle...but im looking for a brown color on the base ring or the bottom of the plug? is that what chocolait brown u mean, cause the white porcelain insulator peice stayed white, and there was a 2 small brown rings at the base of this porcelain, i sawed the spark plug to check, but the side elctrode looked scortched as well as some on the base ring on 1 spark plug remained shiny... ill try to do it more accurately today.. -

sheerider hey man how can i tell if shes running hot, i mean when im reving her hard the pipes are scortching hot but i thought that was normal, she is running better than ever really, when i tried her today with the new plugs, on the base ring on the plug there was a silver patch nor colored at all, u can see it in the pic, maybe she lean on one side only? -
in that diagram man at the bottom where it says the ratings for spark plugs....when it says that br9es are cold does and that br8es is standard, does that mean that the br9es can not withstand higher tenperatures, so will it burn? thanks for the diagram though!

hey i just bought vf3 and installed them, and the bike runs excellent, but i noticed that there is no visible white smoke comming out of the exhaust pipe, ZERO!!!! even when i rev the bike up i cant see anything comming out of it!!! before i put in the vf3 there was smoke comming out, not excessively but i could see it...now no smoke ahha? what does this mean?

i just did a plug check, new plugs, once i went full throttle and shut her off i took them out....the base ring on the left one is darkesh brown, the porcelain is all white except one small light brown blemish almost under the side electrode, using a magnifying glass i cant see and silver specks....the side electrode has basically turned white at the tip, right above the electrode in the porcelain, the rest other than the tip is a dark brown... the right side plug --- the base ring isnt as uniformly darkesh brown, its darkest close to the side electrode...but there is some areas that havent darkened at all!!! and remain sliverly and new looking, 2/3 of base ring is brown.... the porcelain is sligtly more tan but still very white, only has 1 blemish close to the same area that the left plug had..the side electrode is not as white on the tip, more evenly brown all over, bike starts excellent, runs excellent, isnt blowing excessive smoke, and is hauling like crazy, HOW DO U THINK THE JETTING IS? thanks, i am at sea level basically if that helps

sst's and power core 2, its the only combination other than stock ive herard, its not loud until you rev it, so its good for the neighbours!!!! but when she hits the power band, she sounds like a cougar or cheetah screaming when defending its litter!!!! people will get out of your way!!!

i just got to try BANSH-alena, for the first time with the vf3!!! the throttle did feel more responsive and it seemed like the power came on a little earlier than it did before...i was hoping to have gained more top end power in the gears, but this seems to make more in the mid range? anyone else agree?.. but that biz-natch did seem to be hauling a bit more which makes me happy!!! -

the banshee is running rich now, i want to add vf3 reeds...im hoping that i dont have to re jet? will adding the vf3 make the bike run leaner? or richer? i am hoping that it makes her run leaner so i dont have to rejet? does this make sense? i just bought the bike 2 months ago, the owner cant remember what size jets are in it so he is no help to me...im running about 100ft above sealevel....thanks for your help

so whats the deal with the stuffers??...that plastic peice can snap in or out and makes it round or square.....seems alot more restrictive with the plastic peice in , which should be run, with that plastic peice, making it round, or with out the peice? like those pics above -

ive been seeing a bunch of different looking vf3 reeds out there....some have like a comb on them or a plastic peice whice is on an angle, i guess the reed pedal opens up so far then hits this peice? ...however the ones i just got shipped in dont have this peice onthem just the reeds and the cage? whats the deal , how many types of them are there?.. or did i get vf2 or sometin just with a vf3 crest on them? -

is the v force increasing air or fuel or i guess both....but usually will i need to go to a bigger jet or smaller....i just got the bike, have never jetted before, ahha and dont know what jets are on it now ...so yah!!!im facked ahha -
just got my new v force 3 reeds, in the instructions it say i have to modify my stock rubber manifold? what do i have to modify ? my mods are k$n filter with lid, gold series fmf sst pipes and powercore 2 silencers, they are claming that these vf3 reeds will give hp, is this true or did i just waste $300?? i know this isnt the jetting forum but they said in the instructions that re jetting is not required? if it was going to make a darastic improvement, wouldnt i have to re jet???

how do i tighten the chain, there is a little slack, i had my axle bearing changed 2 weeks ago and the chain was really tight then...now it has gone slack again?

i smoked a rock 4th gear pinned and it ripped the rear skidguard plate off!!!.....i cant see any smacks on the axle, but the right rear is wobbely, at high speeds its worse....seems like the wheel is warped or something?.....what do u think? the left is spinning perfectly straight..

i usually ride and keep the rpm's up, this works fine, shee spins alot ahha but i like it!!!! y cant this style of riding just be used with the drag port or dune or whatever -

i have sst gold series pipes on now, they are top end power pipes, she has little or basically none very low but alot mid to high, what rpm is my bike reaching its power now? whats red line? i dont mind keeping the rpms up a little bit but i dont want to have to have her in the power band just to move either??
