Hey Absolut congrats on bein' a dad. It's a big job and it's life long so make sure you're there when it matters and even when it doesn't I just have one question for you... aren't you the guy that was endlessly abused by most of the members here? If so, I think this would be a great time for them to step forward and be the first guys to bury the hatchet.

Amount Of Oil On Air Filter Is It Needed W/outwear
Holyman replied to teamriot's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
I have the 2:1 filter but I use the pour bottle. I wash the filter with engine cleaner in a spray can, hose it off from the inside. let it dry totally and then I pour some oil in a tupperware that's big enough to hold the filter. I roll it around to all surfaces are covered and then set it at an angle so the excess can drip off. I come back 1/2 hour later and install. With the outerwear. -

Holyman replied to Jeigh21's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I never bought any from him so I guess the best thing is to email the guy. -
Got a pair of .050 over that have what seems to be a mild port job from Trinity. email me if you're interested [email protected]

Yeah fix you'll have to be there. There's only a few guys in the whole world with monogrammed HQ shirts and we're 2 of 'em. I still haven't seen the awesome pics sneeky has of his riding areas Yes dirtgirl you're the wife and sneeky is the husband. I think there already problems tho if you don't know who you're supposed to be gettin' hitched with. Beside you ain't even old enough to get married are you? Ahh the old days when I was young... I remember them well.... Who am I kidding I can't even remember what I did last uhhh what were we talkin' about again?

It sounds like you've already talked yourself into buying it. I've bought many banshees and learned alot. Everything on 'em cost a minimum of $100. If the stem is bent, then it's likely the bars are bent and the frame is bent at the top steering stem mount. You should look at the bike and the plastic should fit perfectly. If the plastics don't fit tight especially where the rad plastic slips into the top of the front fender plastic, then the "hoop" is bent. The A arms and the frame are remarkably delicate and roll over commonly bend this stuff too. Also the grab bar wings on the back of the frame commonly get bent on roll overs. Add to all of this the engine work. Make sure you get the paperwork on the mods done at the shop. Just so you know. If you can, post some pics and if there's anything we can see that will help, we'll let you know. Don't get me wrong, I don't think I would ever buy a new quad. There's too many out there that can be gotten cheaper with more mods and are just as reliable. Besides the warrantee you get from the dealer is almost worthless and the idiots that work at most dealerships are no smarter than most of the noobees here on the HQ

gumby you've got issues Oh I see the problem now... you're from Illinois. Everyone there has issues BTW sneeky... my wife says you're "decent lookin' bloke". Is that good or bad?
-
If I told you, I'd have to kill you. You must not have heard what happened the last time I told someone about one of my experiments before I was ready to have it spoken about.
-
I'm also looking for a twist throttle for an experiment. So a broken one would still be OK.

Need Oem A-arm Ball Joint Boots? Where?

Check this out... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...item=2442999360 Let us know if they're any good whan you get 'em. The dealer doesn't sell 'em. -
Hey ease up on sneeky... didn't you read he just got dumped and he's trying to make this poor little girl in the UP want him?!?!? So far dirtgirl and sneeky got more goin' on than he had with his last girlfriend and they live thousands of miles apart. I'm going for the first HQ wedding between sneeky and dirtgirl. Of course I'll be the one to perform the ceremony It will have to be on the dunes in Australia and we'll all have to wear BHQ tuxedo's.

One more thing... I have designed a 2:1 intake that I think would actually really add to flow and power but I haven't found someone trustworthy to build it. I don't want to hand over my calculations and diagrams to someone that's gonna be selling 'em on ebay for $9.99 like BenBB's jetting secrets. If you're interested, email me... [email protected]
-
I'd love for you to make a 2:1 pipe out of stainless that actually produced higher revs than the regular 2:1's. What a dream. Anyways... I have T5's, Trinity inframes and MF 2:1 pipes I could measure out for you but they've got alot more zig-zags in 'em than the out of frame pipes. I would say that a 2:1 pipe with a CPI size chamber would really be awesome and the sound would be unreal
-
Yeah that sounds like the right stuff. Wrap that stuff on there and then wrap some aluminum foil or something around it just to make sure. You should be OK.

Go to your payapl account and click send money and then put in his email address and then send the money. Just put a note in there that it's for the specific auction number. Don't click Ebay auction just click "goods". The money will still get there.

Lefty... I have no idea why that pic of you is sooo funny but I just can't stop laughing. It kind of reminds me of the scene in Beverly Hills Ninja when Farley is in the strip club acting like a stripper. Classic Farley

How much is he willing to pay? I still have my J frame. You tell me what you want on it and we'll deal.
-
The banshee frame is exactly the same as it has always been. The J frame and A frame are identical. All they did to adapt to A arms is add an extra tube and move the rear facing J arm tab back a couple inches. The early swingarm will fait all years but the carrier is different between the early and late. SO you can put your old swingarm on any frame and put a new swingarm on your old frame but the carrier is a little different. So as long as your carrier is OK, jus plan to re-use the entire swingarm all the way back to the rims. Just unbolt at the pivot and rebolt it to your new frame. AND don't forget to drill it for a grease fitting at the pivot. It's worth the $1 it'll cost you.
-
I'm still looking for an AMP link and a round axle carrier. please email me... [email protected]
-
Sounds like it fell off the truck on the way to the scrap yard Is the flywheel any good? Send me some pics... [email protected]
-
I don't know the axle bearing numbers off hand and I just can't compete with the guys that sell theirs on ebay. They sell the Chinese/India/Mexico crap made out of our old recycled mufflers and have forced labor to make the stuff so on axle bearings, I just don't even try to sell 'em. Swingarm and A arm bearings, I'll hook you up. No matter which bearings you use, make sure you put in a grease fitting!!! It takes 10 minutes, costs less than $1 and will even help a crappy bearing last twice as long.
-
J arms and swingarm/carrier. That's the only diff of concern. The thing about getting a used frame set up for A arms versus the J frame you have now is quality. If your J frame is junk now, then buy another one. If your frame isn't bad now, then just weld on the couple extra braces for the A arms. The disadvantage of buying someone else's frame is you don't know how bad it is AND it's gonna cost a min of $50 to get it shipped. So add the shipping into the calculation. You may spend $250 to get someone elses frame and it's gonna require as much work to get it to where your frame is now.

Hey I like that idea... hit him with a rock, stick him with the scissors, put a paper bag over his head and then drag him behind your very well jetted banshee

It was in the new forums and I noticed she was on here so I posted something like... Hey everybody Brooke was here... I left the subject and saw it up there and when I went back 10 minutes later it was GONE. Maybe the rift between Brooke and Lee isn't cured yet. I hate it when parents argue and us poor kiddies gotta go hide in the corner and plug our ears
