you also might try swapping the plug wires to opposite cylinders to make sure its not an electrical problem. Only takes a second. I always drain my carbs at the end of the season to lessen the chances that crap will build up in the jets. SDD knows his shit he fixed my bike up all nice and running so if you can't figure it out I would let him help

I knew you all would not like my answer...I agree kill the fucker...I just feel that there are more important problems on the home front (Here in the US) that take just as many american lives (actualy more) that could be solved at a fraction of the cost, and nothing is done to stop it (Maybe free healthcare for example?). We are the biggest economic bully in existance right now, we repress and exploit hundreads of thousands of workers in other countries to make things cheaper for capitalists instead of employing needy people in our own country at decent wages. Ok its not really "us" doing the repressing or for "ourselves" its for the gready capitalist pigs that dictate our lives for us and that make the average American look selfish and greedy. They pit us against eachother for jobs and wages to keep us buisy while they make the profits while using bureaucracy to legitimize themselves and create a social dislexia for the rest of us. Hitler was another story all together, Sadam has no where near as much power as Hitler had, and the reasons why we are fighting Sadam are compleatly different. Although they are both huge assholes that needed to be stopped. I just don't like it when they have to hide behind bulshit reasons for fighting it makes us look bad. And if any of you think we haven't killed thousands of innocent people over in Iraq need to think again because I can gaurantee we have killed as many innocent people over there as were killed in Sept 11th if not more...Now im in no way taking sides as to wether or not we should be over there, or as to who attacked who first, just stating the facts that the average American does not want to hear. The media wants us all to feel so rightous but other things are still going on over there. I want some payback for Sept 11th also, what those terrorists did is inexcusable but that does not mean we should have killed even more innocent people to make ourselves feel better. Innocent people are innocent people. Perhaps now things will get better though, now that they do not have to live in fear. Yea his people hate him, but they also don't like us either so go figure. I give my support to the American and Coalition soldiers fighting in the war 100%. And I agree 100% with the statement that americans are sceen as typicaly selfish by other nations. Now lets watch us take 90% of the profits to be made over there and divy up the last 10% between the other nations that have helped us out and given up their lives and family for Bush's war also. -
Fouled Plugs Getting Agravated,help
Justintoxicated replied to superchicken's topic in General Banshee Discussion
it might, but that will definately make it run leaner at WOT... Your going to have to play with your jets if you do that anyways. Sounds like your pilot jets are too big. I'd remove the lid but you have to have some type of clamp on filter if you do this. You will probably have to then re-adjust your main jet a few sizes also. Have you tried playing with the idle screws? -
looks like you need a new helmit, better than needing a new brain though Thats what you get for driving a honda! haha j/k Hope you get better soon.
-
well that explains the jet size thing Your engine will flow more air with clamp on and no airbox, But it will also flow more air with the lid off and a precharger (outerwear)(since you already have the single clamp on). The little less airflow the prechargers gives you is, IMO, better than clogging up your K&N with dust and sand at glamis, and it will still flow more air than running it with the lid on. Definately run the prechargers and no lid for glamis. When I put my lid on my Banshee boggs horrible and I can't even hit the powerband, because Im jetted for no lid, I think its something like 3-4 jet sizes (Mikuni) difference. I dunno how much HP gain it will give you but it might just bring you up to mid 60's after you re-jet.

if your goinjg to run 2 amps, or power the components off any amp, power should not make any difference at all...Thats why competition decks often have only preouts. Listen to them both on the same set of speaker and see if you can tell any difference in clarity. Also check out which one will be easier to operate while your driving. And which one looks cooler (pioneer) also. If the alpine feels cheap I would not get it, knobs break but so do buttons. -

they both deserve to die, but killing Sadam without finding chemical weapons or evidence of terrorism on the US will not look good in the eyes of other countries. -
snce high octain is not as cumbustive, it will ignite at a different position on the compression stroke. So if you motor is not done up to use it it will only slow you down.. If you noticed a difference its probably because your bike is running cooler and I would suspect that perhaps you are running too lean or something.

what kind of wax do you use now? I have been using the maxima stuff.
-
I haven't never noticed any difference between the BR8es and B8es plugs...

outerwear is in no way more restrictive than the airbox lid! Now way at all! 142 mains ! I didnt know they made them that small, You sure something isn't wrong? After I got porting I had to go up to 370's in my stock carbs! 142?!?! How does your engine get any fuel?

Great we caught Saddam, but little has changed really...Like he has a whole lot of power left right now anyways...Bush failed to find chemical weapons of mass distruction,it just makes him look worse. edit: then again i think we know the real reason we invaded iraq, in which case the problem has been solved. What about Bin Laden, he is the one who cordinated the attack against us? Even so, Bush's war will continue... -
Well I stopped at motoworld, which is kinda expensive..Got some dragons but they were like $36.. Oakleys were about the same..These looked pretty damn nice though..nicer than my high voltage ones and they had a nice color selection too...Rocky mountain has stuff way cheaper but its a little late now to order X-mas stuff on there... http://www.motoworldracing.com/dragon_04)MDXgoggle.html Still have enough left over to get her some riding gloves too. I hate X-mas shopping though, I especially hate traffic! And long lines. Very agrivating! I wanted to get some nice bolts for my noss head while I was there but the line for parts was like 30 minutes long so I said f*ck it.
-
Last time I asked this question I went with the high voltage....I don't really like them much, Drove in a couple sand storms and ended up with tons of sand in my eyes...Normally they are alright but I wouldnet buy them again... This time im looking for a nice pair for my gf, list me some options. I was looking into the Smith SMX Airflow goggles or maybe the Fuels? How are the Scott Voltage "R" googles?
-
I was thinkgin of having my roomate sand blast my hubs, they trying that duplicolor metalcast on them...eventualy I can powercoat them. but I don't think the Hubs really get that much wear do they?
-
yea WTF did you buy for 5000? A bunch shiny stuff? with just pipes yu should be able to beat a 450...maybe not in a drag but everywhere else...I know I rode with 2 of them last weekend from alba that had pipe kits on the 450's...The guy just kept telling that the banshee is still the way to go, he just wanted something fast he could just pour gas into and go. I told him he had a nice quad and he basicaly said the same thing about mine. For $5000 I would have bught a second shee not modified the one I had...

definately go with silk tweets and component fronts...going to the kickpannels should help some, but you said inexpensive, I'd put the extra money into the deck or amps. polk's are good but kappas are more budget probably. For the Sub I would go with a W3, if you just want good clean sounding bass with a little punch to it too. I can't stand aluminum or titanium tweets, they have a horrible tinging sound after a while. And sloppy bass is just as annoying over time. I prefer seperate amps for the fronts and woofers. -
whats a DNR and why would you want to downgrade to a cannondale?
-
yea, it would be great to make that dumont trip, but can't let it get in the way of graduating, this is my last semester after all.

You guys have some really nice rides. Someday ill be able to afford a better truck too, I hope...

The Real Science About Flywheel Lightening
Justintoxicated replied to Holyman's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
oh man.... you reminded me of that nightmare I had in college called Physics 195. LOL just kidding, makes sense. But what about the simple reduction of spinning mass in general? Is it negated since the weight of the flywheel itself is more critical? -
33mm Carbs Or 30mm For Glamis Duners?
Justintoxicated replied to Justintoxicated's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
a big difference compaired to what? Whats your engine setup? thanks, JI -
its possible that running too hight of an octane will decrease your overall power. Less octane fuel is more explosive. I find most race fuel contains lead after looking around, but don't quote me on that.

What Is The Best Chain For My Application?
Justintoxicated replied to b_a_n_s_h_e_e's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
my stock O-ring lasted a long time in the sand, but I just replaced it with a D.I.D. X ring since it supposed to seal better than a standard O-ring.
