  1. I would get the 450. Or even a z400 before I bought a rapturd. I have not ridden the raptur, only with them, they seem tipsy...the 400 isnt bad, but the 450 would be really really nice
  2. it helps to use web compression in photoshop, you can get those jpgs pretty small.
  3. Jims ports are the shit! very clean and professional..I have pics also, but I won't post them. If you would like to see them, ask PassionRE to send me a PM and I'll show them to ya, I have quite a few. I have also heard them called vampire ports, and some say they won't do much of anything, thats why I sent mine to Jim and not these people, he can explain it in detail how do the tripple ports differ? is there 3 holes instead of 1 big one? Whats the advantage?
  4. one of my friends has a kit that didn't use a battery, it ran off some type of pressure injection system. He went through a few that ran on the battery and kept burning out the pumps, he likes his new kit much better, but im not sure on its availability. Have you ever heard of this? I'm pretty sure there was no battery and no pump, at least from the way he explained how it was different. He has been running NOS for years so im pretty sure he knows his shit.
  5. damn my tank is past $202 already holy shit! How much do those go for new? Im pretty sure they are under $200 !
  6. you guys can't just install XP, you need all the windows updates and patches, Updated Hardware drivers for all devices Etc...If its turning off out of nowhere; does it blue screen and reboot or just turn off? If tis restarting it could be a power problem, or if it blue screens its peobably a software issue, like you need ne wdrivers. XP is good but anything made by MS has tons of bugs AND exploits. My PC crashes sometimes, but it had somethign to do with my Nforce MB drivers, which were not up to par. The newest released seems to have fixed the issue, and also a sound problem I was having. Anyways, you learned one lesson... backup, backup backup backup. If your Hard drive is crapping out and making strange noises then no software is going to fix the problem. You said you lost data, well data does not just disapear unless your having an issue with your HD (not the data you lost when it crashes but data that was already saved that gets lost when it crashes) If you HD is not big enough to install XP, its time to buy a new Hard drive, you can pickup an 80 gig 7200 RPM with 8 meg buffer for about $50 these days...and if your going to run XP I suggest 512 of ram or more so you can have a little over 256 megs free. At work I only have 256 and its slow as hell, but im not going to upgrade it lol.. Don't blow up your comp, I can trade you some older parts to do that with Im always looking for little things here and there to go in my linux box, so send it here and ill ship you some older parts to blow up
  7. Hell I didn't know that, I thought that it would be stronger. I would think that if you got clear plastic and painted the inside that it would look good, very shiny and scratch resistant yea you could airbrush some really cool designs on it too, But I wonder how strong the clear plastic s in comparison?
  8. I dunno but I have a stock stator for sale if you want it.
  9. Hey I think My Head is leaking coolant. You know where the coolant hose hooks into the front of the head (towards the front of the shee). Well it does not appear to be leaking from the hose, but it appears the aluminum piece that is mounted into the head has a slow leak. Im not sure it's serious (only saw a couple drops)but what can I do to fix it? Ill keep an eye on it for this weekends ride. And post if it continues to leak.
  10. 16 are too small more than likely, Im running a 50/50 mix 1/2 pump 1/2 race and I only have 19cc domes.
  11. I Well its 1,000,000 between 2 LEDs, around 1,000,000 not exactly, and no your not supposed to look directly into them with the focused optics, the warning says to treat as a class 2 laser. I have yet to ride behind my friends bike after he bought my cyan light off me. My fireds said it wasetn too bad, but distracting more than anything.
  12. sounds good, this would be large enough to give me thjat exra run time I need. Any problems with it hitting aftermarket handlebars? I think I may need new bars soon also, Im still using the stock one
  13. yes have it trued and welded before you put it in. I didn't know the inner part needed to be welded also, on my stock crank they only welded the part where it was pressed on the outside, and they did not have to split it apart to weld it.
  14. as for the IMS tank, would I need to modify anything to install it? I need a larger tank and preferably a blue one But I don't have alot of cash so I doubt ill win it anyways
  15. Hey SDD, when you helped me pick the X-ring chain I did a little research and this is what I came up with. Both the X-ring and O-ring chains both use O-rings. The difference is that a standard O-Ring chain only applies pressure on the Oring in 2 places, where as teh X-ring uses an X shaped piece to apply pressure to 4 places on the O-ring. This helps to give it a better seal and last longer than a standard O-ring chain.
  16. as soon as I get another bracket made ill show you guys my new taillight and underlighting using LEDs...Im hoping to make them by this weekend, but its not looking good. I'll at least compleat the taillight though... Im having a few extras made for anyone that is interested also. They should be somewhere around 1,000,000 mcd...might be too bright for you guys though heh. Of course my bracket won't be as fancy as that one since I have no way to mill a block of aluminum.
  17. you were running it lean if it was not re-jetted, which probably heated it up more than it should have and helped cause this problem. I would bore it if the clearance is off, get some new pistons and rings, another new gasket set and some new jets for your carbs. Do WOT testing untill you get it right. Are you sure the compression tester is accurate?
  18. you should find out who did the work, so you can call the guy who built the engine and ask him what kind of head you need. How do you know the stock head has not been milled and squish adjusted?
  19. Hey reas, from all the dynos I have looked at the T6s are nowhere near as nice as T5s on a ported engine. Granted you can still run them, its just that T5s would perform better (quite a bit from what I have sceen on heavily ported engines)in most instances. Same thign I have sceen as far as FMF SST pipes go, they do better than fatties on a stock engine, but not on a ported one.
  20. The carbs can probably help create more HP since you have a stroker, but it depends on your porting I suppose. The head can add more bottem end and cooling, but its not so much a HP mod. You will probably need to buy different jets for new carbs as the ones you have will either be the wrong size or type more than likely. So I guess it depends on yoru needs, you could just get both
  21. another thought, could it jsut be that his pipes were finished unequally? I know mine were different. My left pipe was not plated all the way aournd properly.. Dies sound like an airleak though
  22. since your crank is out of he case you should still get it welded, But if its brand new does it need to be trued?
  23. I wonder where I got mine?
  24. Best dunes ever? Sounds great But I hear that its not worth the trip when glamis is so close,,, still I'd like to hit some new hills and meet some HQ members, Thanks for the link and info Wallrat and banshee370.
