  1. i just broke my thumb throttle i used to have a twist on my 250r but i havent seen any in a while on a banshee so could someone tell me where i could get a twist at?and do yall like the twist or should i go back to my thumb?

  6. yeah i rhode it and u have to pump the lever to get brakes.
  7. you can make yourself a tool to put those springs on with take an old srewdriver and saw a notch in it so the spring hook will fit in it saw the notch at a 45degree angle toward the tip but leave enough meat to hold the load and you can pull on the handle and load the spring right into the holder
  8. i just installed my front brakes,they were completey off the bike and also this thing is new to me so i dont know what shape they were in,so when i pull the brake lever in its soft but i will add that i have bled the lines but if i keep pulling the lever within 4 or 5 pulls it gets hard (no jokes) so what's the deal bill?any guesses.
  9. well its a 87 with namura 80 over pistons the rest is stock i like to trail ride in the mtns so yea mud and water dusty trails.
  10. i have the stock air box and iwant to up grade to a better set up what is the best one to get and where do you get,it any suggestions?

  12. ive looked and i cant find anything on how to do a plug chop someone please enlighten me here what is it and how do you do it?
  13. thanks i have a left over tube that has a tee on it that must be what its for exactly which other vent lines doed it tie to?
  14. there is a little hose by the water pump hose coming out of the engine where does this hose go to and what is it ive built this thing from the ground up i cant seem to locate anything about it in the manual any ideas?
  15. i just came in from working on it an i found the problem the yellow and black wires that connect from the stator to the wiring harness had been screwed with and when the previous owner(s) spliced them back together they got the two wires transposed so i switched them and tada i have lights thanks for all your help guys! :biggrin:

  17. i was checking the voltage at the stator wires thats why the voltage wouid jump up high and as i said i checked the bulbs and there not blown i checked the voltage at the connector before the light bulb and it stays in range that the manual suggest im going to check the grounds but i really dont know what to do next?

  19. dude im going crazy here i ohmed the stator it is at .3 i think thats ok i started it up and its putting out @12volts at a little above idle and a lot more when the engine is wound up i have power up to the socket where the bulb locks in but no lights i looked at the bulbs and they look good i did a continuit y check and the bulbs check out how can this be. could the voltage regulator be screwed ,i dont know if this could have anything to do with it but the frame has been powder coated could this have any thing to do with the problem? any suggestions!

  21. sorry i couldnt find that thread but i just found it imust have overlooked it thanks for the help i was testing with the meter on dc ohms thats probly the deal and i already checked the bulbs there good

  23. its a 2into1 dont have a pic what kind could it be im sure its an old pipe.
  24. how do i test my stator to see if its making power what wires do i check for voltage is it the yellow and black the motor runs but no lights!
